Ok I thought this looked like a reasonable entry level gaming laptop. 17inch screen, I know it does not have an SSD, but decent amount of RAM plus the hard drive looks pretty decent. If you have seen something you think is better please post as I am in the market to get something with this kind of spec.

You couldnt play much on this apart from minecraft. Not a bad deal but not a "gaming" laptop

if you are looking to buy a gaming laptop ,save up some more and get one with a gtx 1060 minimun

Op I've added the actual specifications which is what's going to make people want to vote on it.

Not sure I'd really want to opt for this myself as the 940MX can only be considered playable at 1280x720 resolution at low detail settings for games like, Fallout 4, Batman: Arkham Knight, Just Cause 3, Far Cry Primal, The Division and Need for Speed 2016. Those games I will add all are at the bleeding top end of this graphics cards performance at their lowest settings. So it's really entry level and frankly that it will struggle to play modern games from the last 12 months makes it seem a poor deal.

Same laptop is available cheaper here

950m for less money than this deal seems a better proposition too.

Appreciate all comments genuinely looking to see what I can find just to clarify the ones you posted are the same laptop but this one has 16GB DDR4 RAM, as opposed to 8 and 12, plus this has a bag and mouse, not that they would clinch it (_;)

My brother ordered a similar laptop just it has 8gb, a dual core i5 and a 15" screen but it was £479, I don't think the extra are worth £220 more. As stated it isn't really a gaming laptop, but it can run simple games such as euro truck sim and CS:GO decently but I wouldn't dare try something like witcher or even hitman

Seeing the cold votes coming in, can someone post something of a similar price with better specs, I really am wanting to get something around this price mark and spec?

8, 12 or 16gb of RAM that you can upgrade later.

Graphics card which you can't

I know where I'd spend my money.

See above regarding why this isn't a good deal. Adding things later to bring a machine up to speed is better than having those things and something you can never change without buying something else entirely. This really isn't a great deal for what you are getting and as has been mentioned, gaming is a push for it at HD ready resolutions. It will struggle/not play many 2016 titles at 720p which really defeats the point of it. When you can get 950m cards for the same money it's a no brainer to get a machine that will perform somewhat better, then add the RAM/SSD etc down the line when you've got a bit more cash.

just don't understand why this is classed a gaming laptop
it isn't
it is a waste of a lot of money

Out of interest would a 940 / 950 graphics card make much difference compared to the onboard of an I5 6200 / 6300 for the purpose of rendering photos? Not interested in the gaming side.

No, the integrated 520 of the Intel will do just fine for loading up photos to look at as it's more than powerful enough. If you have no use for the dedicated graphics then all it becomes is something that makes the machine more expensive and uses more battery. The only time a dedicated card will benefit you is if you use programs that will need the graphics card or can make use of it to speed up what they do.

it will be play games but not very well its using old a old card

and its only 2GB
