Found 21st Jul 2017
Was having a browse around for new offers to add to my Summer Holiday thread when I came across this excellent offer at Littlebird, sadly too far away for us to visit as my eldest daughter would love it, she's a member of a local STEM club & wants to be a medical research scientist when she grows up (when I was 7, I just wanted to be a womble).
Entry to Kew Gardens & their Science Festival on either 4th / 5th or 6th August for 1 Adult & upto 3 kids is just £15 for the whole group ie each adult can pay £15 & take upto 3 kids aged 4-16yrs for FREE PLUS Kids aged 3 or under go for FREE.

Thought this would make a lovely cheap day out for the family & friends

Don your lab coat and dig out your goggles for this year’s Science Festival at Kew Gardens! Celebrate the amazing science and scientists that work at Kew and let the kids make discoveries of their own in this three-day scientific extravaganza.

Discover microscopic gardens, clone cauliflowers, digitally scan trees and identify exotic plant species. There'll be activities, games, interactive experiments, talks, and behind-the-scenes tours.

  • Brilliant summer day out for all ages.
  • Fun hands-on experiments and lively demonstrations.
  • Entrance to Kew Gardens is included!
  • Learn how plant cloning is saving plant species from extinction and even try it for yourself with a cauliflower!
  • Create beautiful take-home mementos at the plant pressing workshop.
  • Take the seed-collecting challenge and discover more about unusual and familiar crops from all over the world.
  • Get colourful trying out different plant dyes and learning about where they come from.
  • Make your own fungal-powered plant and uncover the mysterious kingdom of fungi and more! For a full list of activities see here
Plus, find out what makes Kew the perfect family day out. Check out Climbers and Creepers, Britain’s first interactive botanical play zone, and the exciting Tree Top Walkway, high in the arboretum canopy.

I wanted to be a womble too! Sounds so much better than a Medical Research Scientist

Thanks, sounds fun!
Had a look at the website and the tickets are £14 per adult and £2.5 per child so this deal is good if you have lots of kids I have only one paying child so not a big saving for me
Bought two adult tickets earlier in the month. Thought this was a good deal until I looked on the Kew website today and realised with one child I'm saving 50p
