Was looking at this instore last week as still need to get a printer and judging by the box this thing is HUGE! Personally thinking of buying the Epson SX415 (as don't need a fax machine.)

I have the lower spec'd BX300F - quite a bit of the extra bulk is the sheet feeder mechanism for the scanner on top - and pleased with its cost & performance with cloned cartridges. Think this one has bonus of Ethernet connection and extra black cartridge (ie so can last longer without feeding).

I got 16 cartridges for £11.99 on ebay and i chose this because of the ADF(Auto document feeder) over the sx415

Just ordered, thanks OP! Hopefully Quidco will track at 7% (5% if you've used a voucher).

no way i forgot about quidco lol

Got mine yesterday. Could be a bit fiddly for novices to set up as there were no instructions included regarding the network printing/scanning and W7 drivers/software have to be downloaded from the Epson site. Was relatively simple to do with W7 and XP was a little more complicated.

I saw a review on the Epson site saying the ADF doesnt work for remote scanning. Photoshop offers two scanners - one doesn't use the ADF and imports directly into photoshop and the one that does opens the Epson software scans it using that and the ADF.

Haven't tried snazzy paper, but it printed a full page colour photo on cheap paper/basic settings in about 20 seconds or so and it's much better than my previous Epson PSC, which was a similar price (not at RRP) and it prints straight, even on fast/lower quality settings. Plus has 1,200dpi scanning, which is better than my old one.

It's a bit of a beast, but at less than £60 (quidco yet to track), with free flapjacks and fee next day courier delivery, I'm a happy bunny!

I bought one of these, and the scanner is dreadful. Had to take it back as not working. It feeds a few pages, then jams.
