Was in Poundland at the Metrocentre Gateshead today and noticed Epson compatible ink catridges for R200/300 (and other models) for £1 each. Pretty good deal as works out at £6 a set. Yes I know you can get them on e**y for a similar price but for an instore deal I think this is pretty good.

I get mine from SVP , svp.co.uk/pro…mbo 71p each or the set for £4.18 .
Have used a lot of their unbranded refils for my R300 and have only good things to say.
SVP also take paypal which is handy sometimes.

How much is delivery from SVP?, I've used them for DVD media.

Ink, one item where "you pay for what you get",definitely rings true.

Not a patch on originals at this price, ever. Even just a few quid more and the quality goes way up (although still way off original ink), from someone like say, Jettec.

Ive used compatiable ink for my r200 for 2 years now and they are fab! I only pay 87p for one off bigpockets but delivery is wayyy ridiculous! So i think this is a good find! Heat added!!! xxxxxx

Where abouts in Poundland were they?

Near the bags of sweets, just before the tills.

I tried once to use these cartridges but much to my disapointment they would not work with my printer, so back to proper cartridges for me. Good deal though if you can get them to work in your printer.

Ooooooh is there a secret in how to get them to work!?lol Am I being stupid, or is there a knack to it?

I've used Poundland inks before on my Canon IP5000 and they were bobbins.
Poor quality, ink splodges and leaking cartridges.
Basically you get what you pay for and I certainly paid for it as it took me weeks to get the printer normal again after a thorough clean.
Is your printer worth the risk?

However, i will recommend SVP as a supplier for the ink carts. Never had a problem with them

svp all the way for me.

Delivery pushes the cost up, but at £4.18 for a full set you can't buy cheaper. I would never, ever, ever buy my ink from anywhere else as I have had some pretty poor inks in the past but the svp one's are bang on. Highly recommended.

Totally disagree, I go through gallons of INK every week in my shop and although yes we've had some bad ink, generally the cheap stuff is just as good as the expensive, I also have an R300 at home and use the cheap SVP ink which is brilliant.
