Will I be able to use copy cartridges in this printer? Or is it them chipped cartridges? if its chipped cartridges - I will stay well clear of it............... as the copy cartridges are as expensive as the originals......

Original Poster

Think they may be chipped ones - However they are separate cartridges - I've looked about and found them at about £21 for a full set of originals (inkfactory post quidco which is 17.5%) Originals on Auction sites are just under £20

There are various places offering compatible ones but for the amount of printing I need I'll stick with originals - There are warnings on some sites saying post March 07 built models you need originals (this model only came out in Sept 07) - Like you say not a lot in it but not too badly priced as you only need replace individual colours unlike some brands.

Think this is the new replacement for the DX6000 which isn't been cleared anywhere that I could find yet.

This compatible ink should work okay :

Anyone know if this printer is any good though ?

Original Poster

I'm very pleased with mine so far - Made a couple of copies of photos and they have come out really well. Fairly quick and supplied software is easy to use - Not got that into it all but set up is also easy to follow.

With a bit of searching found genuine ink multipack for £17.99 + £1.99 then £0.99 each extra ]here + Quidco
or £18.99 delivered ]here

Thanks for your reply RoyalRenegade ;-)

Anyone know if you can use this with wifi ?
