Looks like Epson really don’t want people knowing the resolution of this, probably because it’s rubbish.

On the Epson website it only states “HD Ready” and on the Epson Australia website it states “WXGA”. So based on that information I can only assume it’s 1280 x 800 resolution which considering the price is pretty bad.

Edit: confirmed on the Epson.com website at native resolution of 1280x800.

I know it's a famous brand but golly that's expensive. I'd recommend waiting if you can until a bunch of 8K laser projectors have come out - a single expensive Chinese one is out already. 8K laser projectors should make prices of lower K quality but good brand projectors more reasonable. In the meantime to tide you over a few of the relatively cheap Chinese projectors are nearly as good as the famous brands but cost much less.
Obviously there are more portable and cheaper projectors like Anker Capsule and Xgimi Mogo series but not everyone wants grey imports, knows these brands. Also you need some knowlade to make them work properly as they are not Netflix certified for example and app does not work straight out of the box.I just put it here simply because of the reduced price.

Actually, for TODAY this is decidedly cheap for a laser projector.

I'd be very interested indeed if someone could point me in the direction of a better deal for a business presentation laser (near daylight) projector.
Yes, such things should be cheaper in two years time ... (Brexit, coronavirus, Trump, etc notwithstanding) just like with almost any 'tech' product. Since I am lacking a Tardis with forward or reverse, what is actually a better deal now?

My Elphas projector works just fine in near daylight. It isn't laser but text is sharp. Considering I use it for gaming I'd have thought its picture quality is good enough for most businesses. Only downside is that its fan is on the louder side but I'm hoping I'll find a noise cancelling solution for that
