I personally think this is worth the extra £100 over the Optoma deal that's on here.

This is 3LCD as appose to DLP so no rainbow effect.

According to unboxing reviews it also has a set of 3D glasses in the box? can't confirm until mine arrives.

If buying from Amazon select amazon from the right hand side, it's currently pre-order delivery in two weeks. Currys is in stock now.

Next cheapest is Ebuyer at £599

Assume the Optoma deal is the 141x you refer too.

For this Epsom tw5200...

Is the 3D via DLP Link glasses? If so are these 144 Hz compatible I wonder.

The usb input could be of use, especially if you can get 5 volts out of it to power a chromecast unit.

Wish it was with a 5 yr gtee at this price.

i want a projector but not for this much, got anything around £300?

I would get BenQ W1070 instead, better … I would get BenQ W1070 instead, better all-rounder:http://www.richersounds.com/product/projectors/benq/w1070/benq-w1070

that's a DLP projector. I've seen DLP along side 3lcd and would never buy a DLP now.

av forums rave about it, also the reviews on Amazon are way better than the optoma

Hang about, I was just about to buy this, until I watched this video comparing against the BenQ. There may be some bias but does anyone with enough experience in these things assess this review fairly?

Noo, why did you do this to me....

I've just cancelled my order for this now.... I still want a 3lcd projector though so time to increase the budget

Sorry, I was just about to buy this myself when I saw the review. I think I'm going to have to increase my budget also, or just simply settle for the ViewSonic Projector.

Problem is, you can always buy more 3D specs but you can only buy the projector once, so it needs to be right.

One thing I'm noticing, you may have some rainbow effect but from what I'm reading you can have a better quality image from a DLP than a 3LCD projector (just something to bear in mind for the budget).

For my budget, I'm beginning to think about putting up with the rainbows for a better image.

I was going to do exactly that and to be honest I never even noticed the rainbow thing but it did give me headaches so am sticking with 3lcd

I wonder if the SOGA would cover me for the headaches? I've bought the BenQ 1070 (not the plus) for £470 with 5 years warranty from Richers.

If you're near a Richer sounds they have a demo room, the website also says they'll pay your parking! Might save yourself a pretty penny as this one has a faster spinning wheel. Worst case you've saved the money going to the cinema to watch a 3D movie!
