Hmm 720p....

Show me 1080p and a decent brand at this price. Take all the time you need...

For those looking to buy their 1st projector this is a great little projector from (perhaps) the world leading brand with good brightness at a bargain price. Hot.

Buying cheap isn't always the best option. I'd buy a better quality used 1080p over this any day of the week.

Some things I but used, some new. Somethings I ain't bothered (ThinkPads, for example). Perhaps you could lurk around ebay and get a used 1080p for this price. For those wanting new, with guarantee and support, I don't think you'll find better than this deal IMHO.

Doesn't seem to have a great picture quality …Doesn't seem to have a great picture quality either.http://www.trustedreviews.com/reviews/epson-eh-tw570-picture-quality-page-2

Meh. Blacks could be blacker? If it's your first projector you are not going to notice that which urk the professional pixel peepers at so-called trusted reviews. This is still the best bang for your buck out there.
Trusted reviews my arse. They even complain about the black on projectors costing 10x the price trustedreviews.com/rev…850
Lmfao.

I do agree you with you that for 720p this is a good deal, but the downside is you have poor blacks and a 16:10 aspect ratio. If going down the used route, I'd advise somewhere like AVforums rather than ebay.
I got a crenova xpe680 for a 100 quid, native res 720p
Am pleased with it, no complaints about picture quality
