whats diffrence between 2 models other than Lumens

One I went for is brighter and has longer bulb life (and no wireless).

I'll never use the wireless and an extra 1500 hours bulb life and more lumens are preferable to me.

Both are good units from what I've read either way.
lamp only costs £69ish avpartsmaster.co.uk/p-6…spx . And I believe If all goes well by the time lamp needs replacing the technology would have moved on ( maybe 4k will be in under £500).
Not sure what's the wifi like on TW650 model. I'll have to test it, If not good I'll just stick the google chromecast or Firestick and can use 5Ghz network from streaming.
WiFi is useless. Projector otherwise quite ok
I paid about this or a bit more for an unwanted new boxed unit around Christmas

Be prepared to sort out a proper screen and it's best to ceiling mount (probably why most people just get a telly)
It's good.

What's the fan noise like?
There is a little.so slightly noticeable in a quiet room but not if you hook up an amp.
Nice just bought. Any one know what size screen I could get 9.5ft away?
I cant believe this is only 98 degrees after 7 hours.

Paid 284.99 with the 15 quid student discount...

Super hot from me.

(Click and its now 105 degrees).
I bought this at £319. A little dissapointed with the contrast, but if you have the right wall to project on to well worth £300. a different experience to TV. Very easy to use.
Asking for a friend, does this show good skin tones? Say for example in a zoomed mode?

Mine is 110 inches wide by 60 inches high, it's about that distance

I paid £260 for a 720p so an extra £40 for 1080p is super hot !
I managed to get this a few months ago for £320, that was a bargain then, next best price was £400 in a sale. I'm pleasantly surprised how good it is. Mines about 4.5m away from the 120inch screen, and i have to shrink the screen considerably with cornerstone to get it to fit. Needs to be in eco mode or the noise is quite annoying
I paid £320 for this two months ago. It’s great.
This is cheap for an LED, man those DLP projectors suck badly if you are susceptible to the rainbow effect. Have some heat
Good deal

Cheers sound big enough for me looking forward to getting it.
I have a different Epson, very good quality I've found (my 3rd projector so far). For anyone buying, try and get a screen or even just a white wall, and don't key stone to give you a good start at getting the best you can out of it.

Also, summer isn't brilliant for projectors due to the more consistent ambient light, so do your best to cover them windows up! Enjoy!!

You might need to add some sound but for the dosh, It's great for occasional use.
for those interested, I have a unit myself, wi-fi is useless, it only supports epsons own app, I use chrome+apple TV. Fan noise is loud when on full power, and it is negligible when it’s on eco mode. In either mode the unit generates a lot of heat, and is not the best for summer time
I bought a projector off Amazon a few months ago it was only £60 odd can't remember the exact price but it goes up to 1080 and it does the job at night in bed 80in on the wall ive bought 2 screens one had holes around the side and the other had a bar on top so i can just unroll it i haven't put any of them up yet as the wall does the job for now for the price difference theres going to be different quality but im mire than happy with the one i bought and im glad i never paid hundreds have a look and read the reviews

I have a 3D TV and have only used it a couple of times at the very beginning over the past 2 years, because it is very hard to find a 3D video source, do you have a solid use case for 3D?

I would put money on yours happily playing 1080p sources, but displaying 720p absolute maximum and most likely 480. The other differences will be numerous too. Find a projector that displays 1080p resolution and then compare prices etc.

Have an older Optoma. 3D is good and the compatible glasses are cheap. Don't use the 3D that often as generally watch Netflix or Sky Movies but have bought a few 3D blurays, I play these on an old PS3, sometimes you can get these discs quite cheaply. Have a 100 inch screen and it really is like being at the cinema, the overall effect is way better than on a TV.
I bought this projector last year and it’s great. Very clear picture and colours and skin tones. Bright too. The only downside with this was the built in speakers sound very tinny and the built in wifi is pretty much useless.

Took the plunge after months of deliberating. My office have an older version of this, and that one's top drawer so this is absolutely perfect.

Cheers OP!

£10 off for loading £80 in yesterday
£15 off for using my sisters's student prime

Got it for £275 in the end!

Anybody got any suggestions on tech to go with this?

Looking for a surround sound system now, a decent retractable screen to do it properly, a ceiling mount, can't think of much else, should I be?
has this gone up in price
