Just been looking at printers Found this new recently released compact Epson all-in-one from Rymans with mobile/wireless and double sided printing. Think it's a good alternative to HP Instant Ink printers and replacement cartridges are quite affordable.

It has been reduced by £5 to £39.99 but at the moment you can use code 1768 at checkout to get a further £5 off. Free click+collect is available to your nearest store or you can get free delivery if you spend more than £40.

The next best offer for a similar/same printer is on Amazon for £49.99 and appears to be a bestseller there.

It looks like a great deal on the printer! But I had a look at the ink cartridges and the cheapest I could find was about £27 for the lot. I'd love to buy it if I can get the ink cheaper.
I'm in the market for a printer. Looking at getting one before the week is over.

Been weighing up my options. Should I go for a HP. (Instant ink is a big incentive). Ot should I look at getting another make with better features but paying for cartridges.

Really not sure

I've read that HP have blocked 3rd party inks, if that's an issue for you
Read the BAD reviews and find out why its been reduced.

Poor print quality.
Drinks Ink.
£27 for a full set.
Noisy.
Slow.
Flimsy build
Drivers not working

I think all in all, I shall pass thanks

I was needing a printer so I dug out the one I put away three years ago (Epsom SX 205 which I bought of ebay for 99p), , installed some ink from the same box and most of it was working right away. Just the red thats a bit iffy, so ordered new set of inks - but not bad having been stored indoors for 3 yrs an not totally dried out (think Canon!!)

Can't speak about this printer specifically.

But I was looking at options for new inkjets in the £40-60 range recently. Epson have changed their Expression range to the XP-xxxxs (1000/2000/3000 etc) rather than the "hundreds" range. Canon have also changed to their TS Pixma range. Inks for all of these new printers seem to be expensive. Compatible carts don't exist yet or are also expensive.

If you're looking for a new printer right now, I'd suggest trying to find a NOS Epson XP-4xx or previous gen Pixma cheap. They'll be wifi, do scanning, use cheap compatible inks and work just as well as new models.
Be careful when buying hp printers with the ink deal my mums stop paying the monthly subscription because she just didn't use it enough. The printer stopped working
