a) You are not buying this from Tesco
b) The RRP is crazy
c) 91% off £313.36 certainly is not £59.99...

Now if it was £28.... I'd take a punt. ( 91% off )

not at £60 though.
It's 63.49 on Amazon reduced from 99.99 fake mark up
Another inept OP that FAILS to check!
RRP is £99.99 so Box (Tesco partner) are deliberately misleading you!
Widely available for around £60 in most places.

HUKD should ban these posters that don't bother checking as they must cost gullible people so much money.

Of course, cooling added
Does it come with a time machine so I can travel back to use the Fax?
Seems to be quite good though I'm surprised it doesn't do duplex (as an office printer)
The main thing is relatively cheap cartridges are available T1636XL less than £17 for all four (for example)
It has an Ethernet and a wi-fi connection (good)
91% off should bring the price to £28.20

People and companies still use faxes. If you want to be sure some document has actually arrived somewhere (and quickly) nothing beats a fax

Fax is worst way to send . Documents reach garbled many times , and you have send again and again or line is not free or poor quality. Best is email. You can ask for read receipt in email or call and confirm. In my work , we used have so many problems due to fax before . Much easier and happier now with out fax . Wish there is no fax and no landline with line rental anymore .

I got this printer earlier in the year and quite like it. With Epson cashback it came to £45 so not quite the cheapest it's been.

A few notes about Tesco's specs
1. It does do duplex printing (printing both sides of the page)
2. It does not have a wired ethernet connection but you can setup wifi using the printers control panel so you don't have to worry about a USB cable if you don't have one.
3.The scanner does have an ADF obviously from the photos

Scanner
The scanner does seem quite slow, make tea and drink it slow.. but hey it does the job.

Compatible inks
The first set I got from Amazon (very cheap) didn't work as the printer wouldn't recognise them. I also got another set via Amazon from Colour Direct, also well priced and these worked after the printer moaning about them not being originals 30 XL inks for £13.99 fulfilled by Amazon . amazon.co.uk/gp/…3TU
I have the printer on a non internet connected network to avoid it updating the firmware and disabling the cartridges which is possibly a bit paranoid and have disabled driver updates to avoid future issues.

Disclaimer: This worked for me and I'm just letting you know what I did as it may be of help but cannot guarantee this will work for 100% of cases. There are lots of people complaining that compatible inks won't work in this printer for them, so just be aware.
its £59:99 in argos
was thinking about getting one of these for £59:99 my printers just gave up the ghost, is there anything better for the price I just want a simple cheap printer

If you send an email, you can ask for a receipt, but most people ignore them or don't know what they are.
You don't know when or if it will arrive. If you've sent it to the wrong email address it may just be ignored. It may go into a mailserver's or a user;s junk. You don't know if it has been read or is just sitting on their mail server or their machine unread. You can set a priority, but that doesn't actually make it go any faster, it just sets a marker of the email saying it's important!

If I send a fax, I know that it has been delivered to a particular place in an office (for instance) and printed (with a real fax) at the other end within about two minutes.
If your fax (real machine) or the receiving fax is not clean then the results will be garbled. With a decent fax it will redial if the line is not free. Companies (even myself) have dedicated fax numbers so they are unlikely to be engaged for long. Lines now are much better quality now because of the Internet. Signal to noise ratios are higher.
Fax wins hands down!
