Good price. Inks are dirt cheap. I've got the SX115, and as long as you're never in a rush it's absolutely fine.
Yup yup dirt cheap inks hot hot hot.
Reserved 1 thanks

just when i said i'm saving money for post xmas sales!
i concur, not the fastest printer by any means but does the job nice and clean
reading the reviews it gets slaughtered for not recognising new ink

I think all printers seem to play up sometimes with compatible ink. I think what I might do is use something like a continuous ink system where I put the cartridge in once, no messing about. Just fill the pot with the ink.
Heated - thanks OP.
Where I work we've sold plenty of these. They can be a nightmare on recognising ink especially compatibles.

Would you advise against buying this? So when a printer does not recognise a cartridge aint it just a matter of taking it out and slotting it back in? Every printer i get packs in about a year later!

They're cheap printers, the heads are prone to clogging, if you can keep them running they are cheap to run. A C.I.S.S is about £30 - £35 for this printer, which will work out very cheap for running costs, you can find a C.I.S.S. on Ebay. You must keep the C.I.S.S. on the same level as the printer otherwise the ink will leak out everywhere.

Thanks for the info. I now understand why some of my printers have failed as sometimes i dont need one for several months. Had never heard of a "CISS" for printers. Its a very good option to have if you are a high user. I will probably decide against buying this printer and purchase one with better reviews
Just bought this as can't get my computer working with my good, but quite old, Canon - this will do until I can get the older computer and printer working. Full set of (supposedly) double-capacity cartridges from Amazon cost £6
amazon.co.uk/Sty…1-2

Will be ordering cartridges for when the included ones wear out, just hope they work as I've been trying to avoid Epson for years due to the printers being known for being awkward when used with compatibles. If the printer proves decent the CISS is a great idea, good to know that's an option.
they dont come with a usb cable so you need to add the price of one of them also
do they come with a set of inks?
