Just picked this up in my local Asda priced at £18.
Seemed like a good price for a basic wireless printer.

Good attention to detail.......first look was at stuff being bought lol
Be warned folks.....its a god awful printer with wifi intermittently working, and even with cable, it wouldnt on occasions. Could have been unlucky but after 2nd one i went for an hp. So £18 is cheap, but £18 is expensive for a not working printer
£45 in asda holigbury

None in Swanley or Greeenhythe
If exact colours and fade qualities are not essential, then there are some very cheap compatible cartridges out there.
Now do I go on a wild goose chase to see if it is in stock at my local Asda, believing as I do, that certain retailers put offers like these only in limited stores to get us all rushing in!

Looks like you took a shower, then did some printing, while eating a nectarine

I have this printer and the wifi has never worked (had lost the receipt so couldn't take it back). When I checked online there seemed to be quite a large number of people with the same problem, and then others for who it worked fine... Having said that had to keep it as didn't have the receipt and quite happy with the quality and cheap compatible cartridges I get for the price - this is a good price even if the wifi doesn't work surely!
I have to agree Epson are not ythe best for Wi-Fi
Now using a Canon MP640 which has been working flawlessly for 18 months over Wi-Fi

I bought one of these a while back to cover the death of my printer.
15 minutes after getting it in the house it was attached to my PC and 2 laptops, all via wireless, and it has been flawless so far.

Absolutely nothing wrong with this printer

Heat added.
..... the first thing I'd buy to go with it....

(no, I don't own this ebay shop... but I do have 3 printers int he house all with a CISS installed ... albeit I prefer canon models)
great printer and a fantastic price, i paid £45 ages ago and thought that was cheap
DOH - just got one this week for £49 - oh well none in my local from above so not so bad.
Plus got the white version from PCW as fits better with location.
Printer-wise it seems fine - only supplied with small ink cartridges but already ordered some cheap compats off the bay.
Wireless works fine on 2 x laptops so far. Good would recommend for home use.
Still not sorted the iPrint from phones but not spent much time on it TBH.
Wow, what a bargain. This is far from a basic printer
scans at £45 in wembley

You don't need the receipt you only need proof of purchase...ie bank / creditcard statement
Any in Leeds?
no deal at asda glenrothes
I have the 535 the only problems I had was I'd have to reinstall the printer on the pc each time I wanted to print. Gave the printer a static IP and all well now. Problem more likely caused by my cheap talk talk router which keeps giving out identical IPs.
Setup printer first ...press spanner, then scroll to network settings, ether use the wizard or advanced, (choose infrastructure) so it's goes through your router(as long as dhcp server is enabled in your router) and is assigned an ip via

DHCP / etc find ssid / select enter wep/wpa key etc ///change lower case/ numbers via the menu button. A green led will light when Wi-Fi is on.. Check under confirm settings for correct details

If you want to print from devices directly like/ ipod/ n95/ etc choose adhoc but you must assign a static Ip to the printer*

setup sx 515w..for xp (when you want to use as a standalone printer without USB or 10/100 and just want to use the Wi-Fi (probably works same way for win 7 as well (with epson sx 515w w7 drivers)) install driver/ choose manual, then

choose port LPT1..

Then find printer/ (Start / printers and faxes right click the sx 515w / sx435w printer icon and choose properties /printer properties then click the ports Tab, then click Add Port choose Standard TCP/IP Port / new port / next /

enter the IP your printer was assigned via dhcp ..eg 192.168.1.111 Then click next / apply OK etc .. At next screen choose LPR / click OK [Or set static IP to printer of say 192.168.1.30] and enter 192.168.1.30 instead of the DHCP assigned IP

It would be best to use epson netprint and epson net config (when DHCP) assigns ip to your printer (co's if it changes you need the enhanced epson Port to automatically adjust to the newly assigned IP address (the standard tcp/ip one above will not) (after installing the 2 epson utils [epson327369eu.exe] & [epson327376eu.exe [xp sx515w]] follow the steps to enable standard tcp/ip but choose EpsonNet Print Port instead and Auto for ip .If it does not find your printer make sure the printer has not gone into standby and press search/new search again.

Install in the following order [for sx515w use lower info for sx435w under windows 7 for sx435w xp driver Click here

[1] epson325334eu.exe

[2] epson327369eu.exe

[3] epson327376eu.exe

[4] install epson scan epson324758eu.exe

[5] open epson scan settings and search for the ip assigned to the printer and add it click ok/ apply

*according to Epson

------------------------------------

Windows 7 for sx435w

Install driver when asked choose Manual and choose LPT

Then find printer/ (Start / printers and faxes right click the sx 515w / sx435w printer icon and choose properties /printer properties then click the ports Tab, then click Add Port choose Standard TCP/IP Port / new port / next /

enter the IP your printer was assigned via dhcp ..eg 192.168.1.111 Then click next / apply Ok etc .. At next screen choose LPR / click Ok [Or set static IP to printer of say 192.168.1.30] and enter 192.168.1.30 instead of the DHCP IP assigned

----------------------------------

Install in the following order [I added_drv when saved) file name is epson373281eu.exe

[1] epson373281eu_drv.exe

[2] epson327369eu_net_print.exe [only really need for dhcp when your Ip changed) so if static Ip used above not much point

[3] xxxxx if needed epson373080eu_net_util.exe

[4] epson374211eu_scan.exe

[5] open epson scan settings and search for the ip assigned to the printer and add it click ok/ apply

check to make sure it's LPR and not RAW

Are you serious?
Might just buy this instead of forking out more for the ink! Hot!
I use this model in small retail chain I do IT support for (about 15 shops) and find it to be less problematic to Kodac printers that was used before. Bargain at this price ,usual cost is bout 40 pounds.
I have this printer paid £49 for it a while ago, apart from a few glitches at setup which were probably caused by me it has been perfect. It's a good distance from the wireless router and never gives me trouble I would definitely recomend it. As for ink cartridges Amazon were doing a business pack of 20 (5 of each) for around £15 a while ago, they work fine and give good results for most things including photo prints.

Lol
anybody else found one yet??
This is an exceptionally good deal for an all-in-one with WiFi and cheapish ink cost.
