Bought one of these beasts six months ago for £130, purely because I needed a A3 ADF scanner and buying a all-in-one was a LOT cheaper than a standalone A3 scanner never mind one with ADF.

£99.99 and a potential £30 cashback from epson make this an absolute steal. Just a shame I already have one already. Be aware though these are on the large side.

Do you mean the WF-7610?

What are they like with ink consumption?

Can't answer that I'm afraid. I only bought it for the A3 scanner and never had the need to use it to print anything A3 or A4, use a A4 laser printer for printing. You can buy epson compatible cartridges which I think work out reasonable enough at ~ £14 for a full set.

Well spotted! I also have one that I paid more than this for and I'd recommend it. It's a good machine, perhaps not the greatest prints but perfectly serviceable, and the ability to occasionally print or copy A3 (double-sided too!) is, for me, invaluable..
A second tray would be nice, but for this sort of price I'm not complaining and the £30 cash back would, in my humble opinion, make it a steal.

I read somewhere that Epsom stopped third party inks from working on these printers

Only bought this last week for £130.00 so have just ordered another one and will return the old one with the £30 extra savings, thank you OP.

Using them in an WF-7620 without problems. The printer will complain about the cartridges not being genuine Epson, but, once you confirm (twice) that, yes, you really don't want to use a genuine cartridge, everything works fine. Make sure you remove the small grey shipping restraint between the cartridge and its tab before insertion, or you'll have a tough time getting it in (and a worse time getting it back out). Also, while you need to pull off the yellow tape, don't remove the clear tape on the bottom - the printer will puncture it itself during insertion.

Would be less hassle and cheaper all round to just ask and insist that Amazon refund the difference.

Sometimes I've had to try two or three times to point out common sense to them - have always managed to get it sorted without the physical hassle of returning stuff.

Price is now £138.25
