Can some one tell me,when using the printer wirelessly, does the print need to be switched on,or is it switched on when signal arrives from eg laptop.Good thing about individual cartridges is non oem ones are very cheap to use, heated op good price

It needs to be switched on and will sit in standby mode after a few minutes until a document is sent to print to it.

Most wireless printers go to sleep when not in use and simply wake on demand. I assume this will be the same. Although it doesn't state it in the manual directly there is a power consumption stated for sleep mode so again this would suggest that it does have a sleep mode and it would seem daft for it not to wake up when it needs to print.

When I get it setup I'll see what it does!

Hi, does anyone know if this will work with the linx 10 windows tablets?.

According to Epson's website the printer is compatible with Windows 8 so it should work with the Linx tablet.

Here's what it says:

– Epson iPrint and Epson Creative Print require a wireless connection and the Epson printing apps. Email print and Epson Remote Print Driver require an internet connection. For more information, supported languages and devices, please visit epsonconnect.eu 2 – Automatic set-up compatible with Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista and Mac OS. Initial Wi-Fi set-up requires a USB cable for Windows XP users - not included
