Was recently looking at the E7 from Flexispot, and for anyone else wondering the main difference between these models, is load capacity, with the EQ5 handling about 100KG, and the E7 doing around 125KG.

The EQ5 comes with a 5 year warranty. The E7 comes with 7 years.

    49391402-NAZIy.jpgNow the cables...

Quite heavy parcel, hopefully the courier would be careful. Used the old desk worktop to save some money.

49391853-8jOA6.jpgIt's much better for the cable management to turn the worktop around, not like in the instructions, the cables now are hidden behind the bar. Just an advice.

This desk is very good, set it up last summer, and has worked flawlessly since.

Note: The legs aren't as identical as it seems, and it was originally quite frustrating. Each leg is specific to one side, despite what it says on the instructions! Once I figured that out, rest was easy.

you attach it whichever side you want

Eq5 doesn't offer a white top or I'd snap this up
    Czubaka's avatar
I got this exact model and got a 20£ white IKEA top - works perfectly well.

Just a warning to anyone getting a worktop from somewhere else... check and check again the screw depth, i very nearly breached the top of a Bekant from IKEA using the supplied screws
    Messiah's avatar
    What's the screw length?

49378847-gOROa.jpg49378847-Hg6eq.jpg49378847-WZjXG.jpgI got this in November for the same price. It then dropped 20£ further on Black Friday. The desk is great. I was a bit unsure about how stable it's going to be on a carpet but it's heavy and works well. Well packaged and easy to assemble. I got 30£ 140x60 ikea top and it works really well. I re-routed the cables a little bit vs what's in the instruction manual to tidy them up a bit. Alternating between sitting and standing has helped my back. I would definitely recommend it at this price.

Been umming and arring about getting a standing desk for years but that price has convinced me. Just ordered it, will pop to IKEA at the weekend to grab a top.

Last night I picked up a black bekvant table top, 160x80 from the bargain corner for £20!
  10. markthedoc's avatar
Mine arrived today (Friday) I ordered it Wednesday night. Picked up a 120x60 LAGKAPTEN desk top from IKEA tonight for £25. Put the frame together earlier, it took about an hour and I just need to screw the top on tomorrow.
    the_chez's avatar
How did it work for you with the supplied screws? Or did you use different screws?

What's the difference between this and the EC5?
    FlexiSpot_Team's avatar
    Heigh range:
    EQ5: 62-127cm
    EC5: 60-125cm

and also the different look of Control Panel

All those who bought one in the last couple of months; would you recommend after using it?
    Debating…
    NotPayingThatMuch's avatar
Absolutely! No complaints here, coupled with the Bekant desktop from IKEA and I also bought their anti fatigue mat which i'd also recommend.

Wanted silver and just went for it despite suggestions of long delivery. Email says "Estimated delivery time:2022-06-14" but hoping it'll be sooner.

    If not I'll just cancel.

    2022 was...25 days ago 😁
My delivery date was the same but I am waiting it today.

I’ve had this for 18 months, use it every day and it’s perfect.

I've got an old IKEA thick top on mine, and a 34 inch monitor. Basically no wobble, even when giving it a push, nice smooth operation. Great product.
  15. theprofinuk's avatar
I have a flexispot table since 2019 with an ikea limnon top. Highly recommend them. Two of my friends also bought them after me.
Advice : if you are new to standing buy also a silicone fatigue mat. Flexispot sells one but is pricey. Look on Amazon for silicone kitchen mat. Costco sells also one for under 20 pounds. It makes a huge difference if you are standing a lot. (I rarely sit!)
    optimusfb's avatar
    Hey, any particular recommendations?
  16. Anees_Anwar's avatar
being 164cm myself, when i sit on a chair feet flat to the floor, shoulders full down at right angle i find the height there needs to match the worktop of the table. Thats where the eq5 is not good, only goes as low as 62cm not including the worktop, 58cm might be more useful for shorty like me..
    Messiah's avatar
are there any standing desks that go lower than 60cm? (edited)

Anyone know the difference between this frame and the E5?

Does anyone know if I can put a 70cm wide table top on the frame? Or does it only accept very wide tables?
    FlexiSpot_Team's avatar
I'm afraid not, the shortest distance between the legs is 110cm. The 70cm wide desktop is not enough for it.
  19. AnkerMan's avatar
I have the E7. Will never go back to a standard desk ever again. Should have bought one years ago...
  20. Geode's avatar
Desk arrived and looks fantastic! Got the "silver" (grey) legs with a green IKEA surface. Extremely pleased with it because I took the opportunity to tidy up all my cables / desk with a tray / tape / velcro.

The colour combo looks super clean : ikea.com/gb/…60/
    nytramlean's avatar
Could you post a picture? I'm looking at the same but with white stand
  21. MinasMorgul's avatar
I have something similar at work and the only thing I’d say is that you will need a monitor riser as well otherwise you end up looking downward so you get neck pain. I know it should be just like sitting but higher up but some how it isn’t
  22. NotPayingThatMuch's avatar
Ordered. no top yet but figure i'll grab something ikea-y. Also tempted by the Anti-Fatigue mat for £26!
  23. theadm1n's avatar
    I didn't know I need one...till now...

I just wish I could get the frame in black :/ looks like only white and grey available atm.

Happy with my EQ5 which I bought last September, along with IKEA bekant 160x80 top. One issue I see is the anti collision feature is not really anti collision as the way it works is it has to touch the object and then it goes back , but it’s not really a touch it is kind of hard push and only works on the side where you have the control box , may be good to use sensors on both side of the legs to achieve this (just my thought )

Also I like the fact that the button panel usb is of fast charging type , would have love to get 2 USB port in place of one (edited)
    Tonk3h's avatar
Any issues combining this with that top? I don't think I'd get on with 70cm depth so your method is what I'd do most likely

After weeks of searching, I opened the Wayfair wooden desk I'd chosen this morning to assemble and found a parcel full of broken bits of wood, so this sent me down the rabbit hole and I ended up ordering the comhar all in one for 300 + TCB

    Noice one. Ordered thx.

Thank you, the code still works...
Can someone educate me why I need a standing mat? I have used them once in our company ages ago and found them very uncomfortable but belive they suppose to be the opposite so maybe it's just me.
    FlexiSpot_Team's avatar
Whether a mat is needed or not is individual. I have a mat at home and actually when I stand up to work I'm more comfortable standing on the mat in socks or bare feet. But it's impolite in the office.

Bought one of these a while back. Ordered a table top from them at the same time. Both orders accepted then a few days later they tell me they haven't got the tabletop and it won't be in stock for a few months so the legs arrived without a table top. Had to source one from elsewhere.

Is this for just the frame and not the desktop board
    FlexiSpot_Team's avatar
    Yes, only the desk frame.
  36. GiantMouse's avatar
You may want to invest in an anti-fatigue mat as well, I can stand all day with one of those, or about 40mins without.
    imHobb's avatar
What do these mats actually do?
  37. Jez_Quiggley's avatar
Such great desks. Bought an E6 3 years ago. Love it
  38. Geode's avatar
Arrived 2 days after placing order! I chose silver and got the weird delivery date in the past so glad to see it here safe and sound.

Really happy with this desk, got it setup and it's amazing. A word to the wise - if you have a filing cabinet or similar under your existing desk it may not play nicely because this has a metal bar down the middle. Still, really good stability and great price. I took a ride on it because it supports 100kg, motors didn't sound massively happy but it worked Wont be doing it again.
  39. NotPayingThatMuch's avatar
purchased the standing mat too... please remove the requirement for an "address line 2" i don't have one! haha
