Equifax 30 day free trial credit report - no obligation - + Topcashback

I signed up this afternoon for the Equifax 30 day free trial credit report.

It's completely free for 30 days as long as you remember to cancel before the 30 days are up (otherwise it's £6.99 a month). It does not affect you credit rating by signing up. There's also £20 Topcashback available and mine has already tracked!

I've posted this in the deals section as you do need to submit your bank card details (although as I say no money will be taken until after 30 days). It's also possible some people might like the service and choose to stick with it.

Probably because you need to go to the effort of calling them up to cancel it. I think I did with these anyway.

That doesn't affect your credit history. I've lost mine loads of times but there's nothing on my Equifax report about it.

cool, 3 numbers to choose from lol ta very much (mines tracked straight away too)

Even though cashback has tracked, couldn't it still be declined if you cancel before 30 days?.

rated hot, any ideas how long it takes to get to ya?

No. The £20 cashback IS for the 30 trial. That's all you have to do is sign up for the free trial and the cashback is yours.

Mine says payable date 31/10/2010. Which is pretty quick considering most other companies take at least 2 - 3 months.

If I used this 30 day free trial about 3 or 4 years ago do you think I'll be able to take advantage of this deal?

It says you can apply once every 12 months.

Tried this offer last year;even it has been tracked, payment has been declined.Had to call Equifax three times to cancel and was charged for one month at the end. Worst deal i have seen.Companies like this just are looking for clients in this way and they succeed.Think twice before signing up!

Are these trying to compete with credit expert with giving free money ?. I cant see them getting to many new customers through this "offer". Tempted to go for this but already doing credit expert. Hate to get both and having a lot of hassle getting out of both at the same time.

what info does this 'trial' give you? If you want to see your credit score its £5.95 extra oO

It basically gives show different aspects of your credit profile and gives you are green light for good or yellow light for bad. It showed me all the mobile phone contracts I've ever had and a breakdown of whether I've paid the bill on time each month. Also told me what bank accounts I've got and showed me the account I opened with Littlewoods a couple of years ago aswell.

Just to let the doubters know I rang up and canceled yesterday. Was very straight forward and I got sent a cancelation email within 10 minutes. They also offered me a half price subscription to get me to stay. Which I turned down of course.

Just applied. Did anyone else get a message and email that you had to phone up to complete purchase ?.

I get the feeling this would stop any topcash.

Would like to know if anyone else experienced this ^. I'm not sure what to do.
Do I call them to "finish" the purchase but possibly lose cash back or do I leave it but risk them still taking money at the end of the month.

Got to laugh at people who are emotionally tied to there deals then proceed to call other members "idiots" "morons" and all other means of abuse in there threads and wonder why it gets voted cold (_;)

Gone down to a fiver now..
had to ring them, didn't mention (5p per minuite) *mobile rates may vary like they usually do.
women in philipines somewhere took ages on phone & didn't believe i am who i say i am and therefore asked for paperwork.
long story short cost me over £3 and i'm terribly piS*ed off overall.

I know where their office is (round the corner) but don't want a criminal record over it.

Due to no-one else seemingly having the same issue as me I am just going to block any payment going to them. I have email proof that I am "almost" completed so I should not be charged anyway due to not being a customer yet.

No chance of me paying 5p a minute. No email to even query them about this.

Whose bitter the people who vote cold or the OP who resorts to abusing other members? Heh.

Pretty similar strategy when you have nothing constructive to add is to resort to branding people trolls as well. Oh Snap.

There really is no excuse for abusing other people in RL or online so instead of justifying it because someone disagrees with you or heaven forbid votes your deal cold. Just deal with it and learn to conduct yourself better.

Maybe in your mind the deal is good (I checked your history and last 2 deals you posted went freezing) you seem a bit delusional there's no arguing with -214 votes.
