A future where the world is at peace but emotions are gone; war is a distant memory, and so is music, art and poetry. Here, emotion is illegal and feeling is a crime punishable by death. Clerick John Preston (Christian Bale) is the government agent responsible for destroying those who resist the rules, but forced to kill one of his own agents, he begins to question everything. Now the man who has been trained to enforce the strict laws, suddenly becomes the only person capable of overthrowing it.

Wicked film! Only bought this the other week for £3.99 using that £2 off voucher....shame would of cost 99p then damn it!

Great film. I got more out of this then The Matrix which is a bit similar.

Top film, hot.

A decent film yes but the logically unbelievable fight scenes in the matrix are actually more believable than the 'evolved' gunkata stuff which at times looks a bit naff.
Still hot though.

great chav film only thing that would have made it better would be to have jason statham in it.

and a car chase with flips and expolshuns

It is a good film, problem is it shows no shame in copying from Orwells 1984.

Come off it, the fight scenes in both films are ludicrous and naff. In fact, if anything, I would say Equilibrium's are slightly more plausible. But then neither of these films are supposed to portray realism.

Under-rated movie

Entertaining film. Sadly, it came out at the same time as Minority Report and went largely unnoticed. I foudn it to be the better film, though Minority Report had a lot of potential

Personally, I disliked it even though it has the always excellent Christian Bale. Heat anyway for the price.

One of my favorite films, along with The Thirteenth Floor (another under-rated film)

I didn't like this film much when it first came out but it grew on me after seeing it a couple more times.
