Was looking for a simple alarm for an outbuilding and found this. It comes with the main unit which plugs into a power socket (it also has an internal battery which charges once plugged in), then mount the door/PIR sensors and your done. Comes with 2 key fobs.

Amazon has it for £49, seems like a good deal.

There are add-ons including a solar powered external alarm (£53 on Amazon) which can be linked to this system.

I bought it and would recommend it. I've put the alarm into immediate arm mode and put the door sensor on the door to the shed and key fobs on the shed keys. Shut/lock door then arm alarm, if door is opened alarm goes off straight away.

It’s ok but certainly wouldn’t pay the £50. I forgot about it one day, opened the garage and it went off, couldn’t be bothered going back to get the fob so just stuck the siren in the tool box where is basically couldn’t be heard anymore. Probably enough to scare off teens but any half decent thief would have it nulled within 10 seconds!

Thats one of the reasons I've put the key fob on my shed keys. I'vealso mounted mine quite high so wouldn't be able to disconnect that easy
Maybe if you put one of them catches that stop drawers opening might deter someone a little longer when the alarm goes off or something that stops the door opening fully you'll know where you've attached it to release the door
Plug the alarm part inside your house for the shed or as stated out of reach or secured.
