Are you saying your willys girth is so small you need a ring sizer to measure it? (shock)

Can this be used on other parts ? Like the upper arms, wrist , upper thigh .. you see where I'm going ...?

lol I thought I was the only one that found this funny......Ring Sizer, sounds like a porn star (party)

Looks like its just a downloadable with ring sizes indicated by different size circles on the paper. Here's a printable one from I think you print it then cut out the relevant parts , obviously laminating it would make it less breakable.

What happened to the other ring sizer offer from Ann Summers?

Tony. No ware near that. Less than 2 years. Bought it now from Frazier Hart

My T-Touch Classic is coming up to 4 years now thanks to the sleep function, how long have yours lasted?

Good price for a great watch. I have owned a few Tissot watches and have noticed that the battery never lasts as long as other brands. Hasn’t stopped me buying them, just thought I would add some feedback. If you want the next battery to be installed whilst keeping it sealed then it’s not that cheap.

I have one Automatic, it was about £200. Purchased mainly for the brand. I think more generally unless you're loaded and don't mind the expense, there is no point in buying any seriously expensive watch. But Quartz are so basic, as long as you can get one you like the look of with a decent hardened mineral glass so its not going to scuff up overnight then no need to spend this much!

How much would you be willing to spend on a mechanical movement where +/-30 seconds a day is considered acceptably 'accurate'? I got one for £86 (omg chinese!), so surely anything more than that is a waste of money? Or do you believe that all movements for Swiss Made automatics are rolled in the thighs of virgins and put together meticulously by elves in magical Swiss workshops? I personally think that this is a good price for what will be a very well made watch, that is classily styled with a Sapphire Crystal and 20bar water resistance. There are people out there that spend 4 figures on Tag Heuer quartz watches, they're the ones who need their heads checked.

I suggest you like The Ball Facebook page. They routinely do presale notifications where you will routinely get offers for tritium line watches for less than a grand. I've been tempted a few times. They use their own movements and the build quality looks great. Plus they're not very common, if that is important. Also the three coloured lume looks fantastic and is great if you like checking the time in bed!

I quite like Junghans, although I believe German in origin. Their watches are beautiful to look at and well made. I'm personally very keen on the Chronoscope model with a blue face and Milanese strap. Sometimes very good deals can be had on chrono24.

I have no knowledge in watches, just came here to say that I miss Futurama ;( @BenderRodriguez . Just started watching it all over again from the beginning!

Of Lewis fame?

Bender..... Bradley’s jewellers have a sale on their Oris Artix. A superb watch at a superb price. If you want a change from Seiko.

Certainly true of the Alpinist, I paid about £100 for the Strapcode bracelet on mine and it now looks fantastic.

I watched (ha) a Youtube reviewer who said that Seiko put the care and effort into the case, rather than the bracelet or strap, of their watches (he was talking about the Alpinist), which I'd say is pretty true.

It's a bit busy but otherwise pleasing to the eye

Wear it around your waist? (shock)

With a steel-braceleted watch, the bracelet is part of the overall package. You judge it in it's entirety. Getting an aftermarket steel bracelet that fits between the lugs, matches the curve of the case and matches the aesthetic overall is difficult if not impossible. That's why it's important that the original one is high quality. The end-links let this one down. It's still a good watch, i'm just saying Seiko should stop with these folded links on watches of this price.

That makes no difference. Second hand you'd get £150 for the watch even with it due a service. It would then be the price of a service on top to grab it again at £300 plus you'd have a brand new watch again. Automatic watches under a few hundred are pretty disposal. Given the choice of paying £150 for a service Vs selling and paying £150 on top. I know what you're saying but unless it's sentimental it makes more sense to flip it and put the cost of the service in to getting a brand new watch. In fact the come up alot at £260 with codes so I'm most cases it's cheaper to sell it and buy a new one instead of service.

You seem to have forgotten that this watch has been bought at a bargain basement price, so it makes a lot of sense to have it serviced.

Nice watch but cost of a service is nearly the same price as the watch (about £140 with Hamilton). So makes more sense to flip it and buy new one each time. Which obviously feels a little odd (lol)

It arrived, love it.

Citizen Calibre 2100 limited edition Men's Stainless Steel Strap Watch £299 or £269.10 if you will subscribe at Ernest Jones

Good price for interesting watch. 10% off if you will subscribe.

+ crocodile skin strap ;)

Here is the gold version. Even more ugly. States it is sapphire. Not that it’s anymore trustworthy than Amazon’s description.

Whare? I looked on Amazon and its stated as mineral glass.

Strange thing with Citizen, the large second hand is for the stop watch (stationary unless using stop watch), the smaller one in the lower dial is the one that keeps the current time.

Ernest Jones are happily sending out ex display stock. It's a lottery if you get an unworn new one. Also check your warranty card, if it's not stamped it don't count.

Nice Bulova for £225 or £202.5 if you will subscribe.

Is the watch on sale a 70s classic?

I was being sarcastic, obviously.

The original Accutron space watch and the original moon watch are classics!

Maybe some of the mainstream modern watches are bulky and a little garish but Bulova have a rich watch history and have made some classics

In all fairness, I'm pretty biased, since I think that even the Woody looks amazing with all it's kitsch gold and wood strap!

Yes, agree with Bulova Precisionist as well.

In warm weather, a good rubber strap won't leave your wrist feeling sweaty like leather can and they offer more flexibility than a bracelet (often in hot weather a metal bracelet can feel tighter than it normally would).

Some of the higher end tags are excluded. When I posted a tag deal a few months ago it worked on that. So might be original price related.

I’ve had a MWC G10 for 5 years keeps perfect time lume is fantastic

nothing wrong with quartz watches (which include solar etc) .. depends on build quality and components

I'd rather buy a used tag 1000 in brilliant condition like a night diver or the wolf of wall Street one for less. And it will only appreciate unlike this one...

To be fair my Tag aquaracer has a nice build to it the bracelet is a step up from my seiko sumo ..but the tag does not hold it value at £1200 tag i will be lucky if i get £500 for it after 2 years ..seiko automatic watches are great value for money my sumo is built like a tank apart from the crap bracelet it is bloody brilliant!!

Have you ever been 50 meters deep?

I've had umpteen Casio watches over the years, all 50 metre water resistant, I've showered in em, washed up in em. swam in em, snorkelled in em and scuba'd in em and all of them have given years of service without a murmur, I know a lot of manufacturers quote other codswallop about what you should and shouldn't do, but thats just a cheap get out clause if you go near water and want to claim, its a terrible set of standards imo set by the watchmakers themselves If my watch says 50metres then I am going to test it to make sure I'm getting my moneys worth XD

Yes because straps are glued on and not regularly changed.

You just don't understand how watch depth ratings work. That's ok.

50 metres underwater is swimming in my book, how deep do you want to go, get a submariner if its not enough!

I meant calendar including week days as I some time loose track.

When did diamond become a metal??? I think you'll find it's a mineral. But you are correct that it is the hardest known material.

Do you mean a date display? If so it does display the date!

Ion plated means it is harder than diamond which is the hardest metal in the world I think. It’s like 10 on the Beaufort scale of hardness. Super tough. Great find OP.

Watch doesn't look as good in reality. Can't see the detail. Just looks like a black lump on wrist with a green ring on it.

Lovely watch. I've tried it on and wears big. Bearing in mind I usually wear 42mm watches anyway... Very tempting at this price.

I love my Seiko watches and this is a lovely watch. I must resist buying it!!!

From Seiko; Case Size Thickness: 12.32㎜ Diameter: 44.6㎜ Not small, but not silly big.

Yeah, not that attractive. Very large it seems, and not titanium - so will notice. Would really like to get a titanium, WR100 metres, saphire crystal, world time watch. Saw some citizens but missed good deals, and their titanium watches lack the features typically, unless you spend silly money. I guess that's the trade off. But then I want to get a smart watch, and if I buy a smartwatch I'll wear that all time, and will cost around the same. Good deal though. Dunno how this compares to a Citizen eco drive. Imagine it's similar.

Have a closer look at the watch'll find the strength.

No clue on the comparisons between letter variants on the turtles or 007 models. I do know that my PADI Turtle holds phenomenal power reserve, especially compared to my old and battered Orange Monster and is far, far better than the Invicta Diver Pro - which is a lovely looking watch with a terrible power reserve! The Seiko Turtle is a gorgeous watch and pleasure to wear. It's heavy, solid, reliable and the bracelet easily on a par with my Breitling Colt for quality.

4R36 and 7s26. I don't actually believe either can "hold" less power from J to K, I just feel like the Js (atleast the 3 variants I've had up against the 3'ks) have always built up a better power reserve, so whether by accuracy of construction / torque used etc, or by lubrications / oils. This was something I noticed before looking into it a bit more and a few others have mentioned the same online. Of course you could always argue that one watch will always be slightly different to the other and that it's not a large scale enough comparison to generalize. I always buy grey imports, with the K's just to get a feel and if I end up liking it then after a few months I will sell on ebay, even in used condition the money you claw back is crazy especially given how low grey import prices are, often breaking even on the resale / small profit. Then I'll purchase the J variant and keep in the collection forever. The resale for them is even crazier going from grey import to selling here.

Resisted for 2 days but just caved in. Don't forget Quidco! @TacticalTimbo How quick was delivery?

I must resist temptation to buy yet another watch lol

I’m a fan of gold hands and indices; used sparingly, gold can enhance. Gold cases and bracelets on the other hand are too much, bit dell boy imo.
