Are there real diamonds on this watch?

Love Rado watches. Their Balboa watch from the '70s looks amazing in a retro way these days and is made from Tungsten carbide. Just try scratching that! Makes stainless steel watches look feeble. The only downside is its fragility, but I digress.

Heat added for deal, I love Rado watches but i definitely don't need another! My favourite Rado NCC 101 automatic is about 45 years old, still keeps time and looks great.

I love the design- heat.

A FIVERS worth of gold, mixed with an awful lot of cheap silver. Since it LOOKS like silver, you might as well just save the money and BUY silver.

Gucci G Chrono Men's Stainless Steel Bracelet Watch £770 @ Ernest jones
Found 16th AprFound 16th Apr
I got this watch for my birthday 3 years ago and it’s still going like new. I know some will hate cause it’s Gucci and £770 but it’s a good saving to be had and if you sign up to E… Read more

Something like a third of the price of an omega is spent on advertising/sponsorship etc

The mark up on luxury goods is off the scale. In fact Harrods, who are 70% concessions, actually buy the goods from Gucci etc and sell them themselves as the profits are so high!

Maybe so but well worth the money if you ask me and the fact it’s still selling at the same price tag after 8yrs tells you it’s a good buy

Don’t know as can’t find anyone selling the same one as mine

Doesn’t mean your still not paying a premium for a name!

Cheers buddy!

Mate, stop apologising and stand by your opinion! You were absolutely right.

Fully aware of that mate but someone not so watch savvy might think this "Limited Edition Red Arrows 5000 pieces" might be. £339 in the real watch world is peanuts but there was a time when that would've been my top end watch budget. I just know better know which is why I decided (maybe regretfully now) to share my thoughts.

No watch anywhere near this price range would ever be an investment piece.

You have piqued my interest, not sure i can justify it ...Hmmm

A version of this watch which automatically accounts for daylight saving would be nice. It's just about the only thing you have to think about with these GPS watches.

This is my every day watch, I have a decent collection of watches. From the expensive ones down to a few old citizens. I also have a few G-shocks GW-A1000FC-1A4ER, G-7900, GW-7900-1ER and GA-1000-4AER. I like the G-shocks, great for work.

GPS & MB6 will still be working fine for a long time, along with the solar charging, and keep it as the most accurate watch, outdoing others costing much more. Also the cost of servicing your Omega every 3-5 years will outstrip the depreciation of the Casio. Especially if you only paid half price like I did ;) Watches are a very personal choice though... Enjoy yours (y)

I'm not saying it won't be working in 10 years But as its a tech watch, the tech will be improved on. The Omega is a classic watch, which will hold its value and will still be a wearable collectors piece in 10 years.

I've a few of the AT watches including the Red Arrows and Blue Angels. I sold another AT watch on eBay, and nearly got what I paid for it 8 years ago. This watch originally released for £1000.

Still waiting for the a decent price for the at4007! which was £235 over Christmas gutted I missed it. Now waiting for the at4008 as well because they are such a lovey looking watch hopefully price will go down soon! Also got my heart set on the at4010 but I can never see the price dropping on that it is basically a American model ;(

Citizen GPS watches are great. I recently bought this one in the U.S. at a Citizen store for £420 (converted from US$). They simply rip us off in Europe with the prices (mad)

This seems right around my budget, have wanted a decent watch for a while, but I've been waiting for ever for the 10% off code, just doesn't seem to be coming. Anyone have a spare?

By the way this does have anti reflective sapphire glass. I thought it did and it was stated on Amazon but I wanted confirmation and it doesn't seem to be on citizen's UK page, but found it on the German site!

I agree, most definitely a difference, this particular post is a ‘deal’ if compared to most other retailers current price, considering it as a bargain is purely a subjective opinion.

And now sold out it seems, as only the black ion plated version is still on their website this morning. Hope I get a despatch email.........

Thanks OP, just purchased this. 10% email sign up code worked and then saved a further 12.5% by buying a £265 gift card through a work scheme. For those not in such a scheme, there are online companies like Zeek, selling gift vouchers for 8 to 10% discount. Anyway, my total cost just over £232 with free delivery this Saturday. I looked at the black ion plated version for another £30, but personally preferred this one with the green highlighting on the dial, but we are all different. Heat added!

Yep and the 10% coupon they email you can be used both online and in store

Citizen mineral crystals are reasonably scratch resistant. Nothing special. Perfectly adequate on a £99 watch, but not so good on a £499 or £295 watch. FYI you cannot polish one of these crystals with toothpaste. That only works with soft crystals (eg acrylic) you got on older watches, cheap Casio's etc.

I've had a few of these watches, and never. marked the glass. However I also bought my nephew one and he did scratch his. Though he breaks phones, TV's and anything else he touches. I did fix his with toothpaste, to polish out his scratch.

Now out of stock.

So, I still don't know how you compare this to the Omega. Thats like saying the Omega is a copy of the Rolex. OK it has a blue face and blue dial, but Tag have been doing Blue faces for years. This is not an obvious copy, of anything. There would be no point, call it a fashion brand if you like. They have their own place in the market place.

Sorry to burst your bubble but yes I do own an omega seamaster 300m and this watch like others is trying to imitate it. Tag is a fashion brand and wouldn’t give it house room even if it’s £2400 cheaper

Nice saving but looks awful with that strap. Not a massive fan of Tag Heuer watches they seem to be more of a high end fashion brand watch these days which is understandable with them being a brand or subsidiary under the LVMH group.

Your right it is a Swiss Ronda movement, except its the RONDA Caliber 6003.D. Which is a lot better than the old 715.

thanks op. I purchased this with the £30 off voucher aswell bringing it down to 365 with free postage. The watch has gone off the site now hope i dont recieve an email saying there out of stock

I bought from them a few months ago. I googled and every result said it’d be fine as they mark the packaging as gift/watch part etc. Once I ordered I realised that all these results were pre-2017. Once I manually dug out some newer threads on watchseek forums it seems Customs just started pulling everything from Creation and most other overseas watch sellers. I guess as a result they know mark the packets accordingly. I got lucky, in that my watch worked out the same as Amazon with the extra put on. But as above, the days of tax free watches appears to be gone.

Not always about numbers. At one time I had 2 cars and 3 bikes. I still have one of those - a 1978 Moto Guzzi. Not fast. Not powerful. Not good suspension. Loved riding it, the sound, the feel. I often like to wear old beaters. They will lose 3 min per day but that is just 'the way they are'. I also have a Casio that updates every night - but its a sterile unenjoyable watch. And I don't need to organise my life to within 2 mins usually per day.

I was making a joke about 3 days per day, btw. I have some decent omega quartz watches and other cheapos, but I prefer mechanical. The watches I like best are electro-mechanical in the gap between mechanical and quartz. They're the least accurate and reliable, but my favourite.

Yeah, it's accurate to within 3 days per day. Pretty good, yeah?

Been on the lookout for a Seiko solar chrono but this is a tad too busy for me. Heat for the price though.

Not a bad price for a solar powered Seiko chrono, gets heat from me. Personally, i'm not a fan of ion plating and the date is really small, so i wouldn't buy it.

Not better at keeping charged and running constantly, or being as water resistant.

Dials a bit too chaotic for me, and 46mm is dinner plate territory.

Spoke with someone on their support twitter account who said to take into store and they'll advise. Who would I ask about negotiating a further discount the store or the web?

I guess its been in stock a long time, hence why it's on sale. I would be tempted to keep the watch and negotiate a discount with EJ maybe take it in to one of their local stores and let them change the battery.

My watch arrived today, it’s a lovely looking watch for the price but unfortunately mine seems to have a low battery as it’s only tucking every 4 seconds.

I wish this had a date marker.

Ordered, thanks OP

I like the Apple Watch but really like the Michael kors smart watch can't make my mind up

It's a hybrid so it has some of the features of a smart watch but with no digital display. To be honest since posting this I have sent it back and bought an Apple Watch 2, I'm much happier with it if you want a smart watch you can't beat Apple Watch

Is this a really a proper smart watch ?

I have the metal version and I absolutely love this watch. It's a great combination of luxury fashion and smart technology. It also tracks your sleeping patterns

Got the watch. It's my heaviest watch 169gms! There was no tool provided with my watch! It's rather naff that you've got to open with back with a coin! (As it suggests) Probably damaging the case. I may return it

Discovered that Breitling don't let other 3rd party service centers buy parts. So it ends up being the only alternative to do the service direct.

You don't need to use their expensive service technician. Find a pro repairer, he will disassemble your movement, lubricate, change any parts if needed and dress up again. And will film for you.
