got one about a year ago for the same price. Good machine for this £229 and easy to use/clean. Coffee could be a bit hotter but this is my own prefence.

Are you warming the machine and your cups up?
Does not work with single use cups!! Designed by Hugh Fearnley!!!
Great machine I had the previous model still going strong hasn't missed a beat
Was it not £20 cheaper on bf?

Got this from Amazon for £209 the other day ! arrived drop shipped from kenwood , Did the whole set up process and it was not working ! could not get the infuser to motor into place and the warning light would not go out, Defuser was covered in silicon grease, after looking it all over i think its a big piece over over complicated nonsense, your essentially paying for a grinder on a pumped system ! i returned and went for the sage from John lewis all metal not like this mostly plastic need to ground my own beans though but i have an electric grinder anyways

Interesting I thought it was a coffee machine not a drum machine?
Does it do hardcore German techno? Could really do with a bit of Sven Vath or Westbam whilst my coffee is brewing!
Nothing like a bit of coffee and techno to get you going in the morning!

Yes, even put the mug in the microwave to warm up further after the machine dispenses hot water as part of the warm up. It is not a big deal (I like my coffee black and very hot).

Re other comments about quality I must say I am pleased. It simply works and I had no issues; it grinds the coffee beans well and, for the price, I could not find a better machine. I had a German made Mellita before that cost twice as much and did the same job.
Don't forget you can adjust the temperature of the coffee with this machine. The are three or four settings as far as I remember, but it defaults to the coldest.
I thought you could use the steam wand rather than the microwave, to warm everything up a bit?
Just bought a new one (damaged box) from De Longhi outlet on eBay with full warranty for £188 with eBay code PARTYTIME. Think there are a few left still.....and the refurbed ones with 1 year warranty are about £150 with the same code

Likewise, watch out for the refurb ones, some are the next model down...

The instructions are not in the manual though, just follow the instructions on higher level models on Youtube, it works the same.

I just warm the cups with water from the kettle or from the hot tap if I have already run it - my junk Main combi gets far hotter water than its setting, or than I would like when the heating is on!
