Brilliant OP! Exactly what I needed for some Italian friends - a rainbow set for £5

Very few chances for any £back at JL - examples include Virgin Flying Club members and Shops Away (2 miles/£) and Avios (one time Air Miles).
+ Maximiles per a later contributor (though I think your email address needs to be the same on both Maximiles & JL sites, which mine aren't)

Where does that 'x' come from?

Great find- been looking for a new set and this is by far the cheapest

I go through maximiles.
Just redeemed a £25 JL voucher from maximiles so worth doing when quidco & tcb unavailable!!

I bought one in the sale at £2.
The cup is great, my brother will love it, but they forgot to send the saucer.
Customer services were great and got one sent on next day service!

expresso?..jeez

I could care less.

Espresso is traditionaly a quick ('express') coffee that you drink standing at the counter. 'Expresso' is French, you will rarely hear 'Espresso' there. It may be an attempt to differentiate French coffee from Italian or just a long-lasting spelling mistake that nobody will admit.

Sorry for being "that guy" :-). I just thought I was in a good position to pick this up since I am French, the wifey Italian and I used to be a specialist barista.

Long story short, getting me a set of these cups too!

Got 1 of each. Lovely rainbow and for £5 for the set. Nice gift.

I could care less.

So you care but you could care less?

You mean 'couldn't'. Well, that backfired on you.

They're going nuts over the spelling >

I got up this morning, everything was fine, now I'm outraged. I need to read the DailyMail as I need more outrage in my life.

Where can you get the tiny spoons from?

George Clooney stole my set!

Many thanks OP.

This made me chuckle! Maybe he's just apathetic about the misspelling! He doesn't really care about it, but appreciates it would be possible for him to care even less about it...

For all intensive purposes it's the same thing.

Is that like intensive care? I can only assume your (sic) playing along with the joke now!!

I was just wondering who would bite. Call it a friendly troll. I do suffer from the grammar nazi illness that afflicts many.

Was your incorrect use of "sic" intentional?

(Sorry, I just can't stop...)

Touché! Only a true grammar Nazi would know the exact purpose of 'sic' when quoting text. You got me!

Perfect. Bought six, two each of the red, green and blue.

Even with the 3 quid postage it's a steal. Nearest John Lewis to me would cost almost as much in petrol as postage. Same with waitress.

Great deal. Hot.

Wow, better get them while their cheap boys, if lots of people start buying the price will go up again.

It's basic supply and command

Damn this site again !!!..just picked 6 up from Lichfield Waitrose click and collect..thanks OP

Click&Collect'd a half a dozen from local Waitrose today : massive box as they had packed everything beautifully within wads of tissue + card + aircap! Really nice quality/colours = brilliant, as bought as a gift ... only wish we drank espresso so could have bought some for us too!

Cheap and good

Thanks OP. Got mine yesterday.

29/1/15: just looked and still 4 colours available... [as you can tell I'm still toying with idea of buying some to keep, even though don't need them - as they are so elegant and cheap!]

18/2/15: just looked and all 5 colours available again/still! Just bought 10 more as friends really liked the first set I gave them (without revealing their bargain price lol) and I remembered to go via Virgin Atlantic Flying Club Shopping to earn some miles (as well as having my JL loyalty card registered on the JL site a/c).
Plus many other 'Clearance' items still left on JL site - I just searched for that word in their search box and browsed through to order a couple more 80% off items.

20/2: Down to 4 colours again, and only a few left of one of those. Picked our 2nd order today and their packaging has become even more professional over the last month - they really know how to pack china for shipping.

22/2: just two colours left - black & red.

24/2: the rainbow has reduced to just black now
