One of my colleagues has a robo vac and was raving how awesome it is, until one morning her dog had left a little brown parcel and the vac was on timer and whizzed it all round the house

I assume this won't hoover corners?

Yes they do. They all do. U realise it’s 2018 right? We now have:
- colour tv
- electric cars with 900bhp & 300+ mile range
- & robot hoovers which can do corners

The fact u joined a few hours ago just to make that comment has made my day!

I had a look and saw the 11c has WiFi and Alexa functionality - are there any more differences to make it worth waiting for the 11c?

Only the internet connection so far as I'm aware, so ultimately no.

Id pay £20 more so I could say 'alexa, Hoover the house' to impress visitors, but not the current £100 difference!!

I've been waiting for this exact deal. I'm glad I checked hukd this morning. Thanks!

Yes it will. One of the programs is an edges / corners peripheral programs. Eufy tracks along skirting boards around your room and the rotating brushes reach nicely into the corner to flick out dust and bits.

We've had Eufy now for a few months and I can honestly say it's excellent although 90% of our floor down stairs is a hard surface.
It's definitely reduced dust levels in our house too.
We still use an ordinary Hoover but no where near as often.

We have the charge docking bit under a sofa and Eufy puts herself back on charge perfectly. The only thing I did was add a 3m sticker to the back of the charge station to secure it to the skirting board.

Also I do t think the 11c has ever been on a deal, so not very likely to happen....

I guess they've old stock of the 11 that they'll want to get rid of before phasing it out and replacing with the 11c?

Thank you for confirming and most likely they'll be doing that yeah, which is good for us to get this cheaper I can go without the internet connection too, especially for a £100 difference like you said!

I know it's 2018 and all, but when did dogs start wearing pants? Even I missed that.
I got my Xiaomi Mi Vac a few days ago from Gearbest. It's amazing so far. I'm amazed how much it picks up. One of the best purchases I've made.
I assume this doesnt have route mapping?

No proper room mapping correct, just bounces around like a ping pong ball in a washing machine. Given the xiaomi robot vacuum is not much more and does include that feature plus a bunch of other niceties (english error messages!) I'd go for that over this.

I am biased however as an owner of the xiaomi.

How much You paid ?

It was 210 delivered. I paid for the insurance. Delivered by Yodel with no customs charges luckily.
Got the Xiaomi Vacuum - easily paid for it self from the number of cleanings it has done.

As for corners, yes it wont get right into the corner. But the workaround is from time to time brush inwards from just the corners or anywhere it cant get to and it will sweep it right up.

You have to tidy away cables - and considering the amount of garbage i have bought through hukd, this forces you to tidy up cables.

Uneven surfaces or any slight unevenness in surfaces - from the kitchen to living room, i had a tiny ledge which caused the xiaomi a problem - in the end, i bought the "invisible wall" so it doesnt go over it or attempt to. And i do the two parts as separate areas.

Also on run 1, it will get 90-95% of the day to day dust and litter. It doesn't complain to do a second or third clean, so by run 2, you have 99.5% and then you just have to sort out the last 0.5% yourself. Happy days.

The app is great too, tells you if it gets stuck, or if it isn't charging. And gives you a map of how it cleaned.

The xiaomi does an initial run where it goes around the edge and then goes up and down on the room.

The only problem i have is the carpet it cant seem to do too well on the carpet we have - so have to work out if i need to go for V2, or look at something else, or continue to stay manual for that.
These are good vacuums, I got mine back in December when it went down to about £128. It does a great job for me and goes under the sofa and some furniture. But does get stuck on the wiring. Need to either tidy it up or block the area to help it along.

had this one. gifted it to someone with tile floors. got stuck on our carpets which are a bit thicker than usual I guess. but it bounced into a lot of stuff that never moved like doors or furniture which was odd since it did avoid some other obstacles. Got caught on its own power cable a lot too seems to be a bit dumb when it's searching for it's charger. I would have kept it but yeah no good on our floors so I got a bit of a better one.

If you have fairly short carpets / hard floors / tiles / lino / laminate then you will be fine. Shaggy rugs / carpets with long pile will just make it fail.

We were promised Jetpacks!
Argh why is it £100 extra for Alexa compatibility 😥😥😥
I've taken a punt! Thanks OP
as above, do yourself favour and upgrade to the Xiaomi Mi Vaccum for not a great deal more. Much more fully featured, which will mean it does a better and more efficient cleaning job. This hockey puck technology does not demonstrate Robot Vacs in a very good light...
The photograph on the title of the deal worries me, the robot is eying up that kid in an evil way. This is how it starts.
Why do people still say HOOVER.
Hoover is a brand. This is a vacuum cleaner not a Hoover.
Same thing with Tannoy, Jeep and Coke.

How this can be compared to Irobot? I have Roomba 887 for year and a half and still running strong (it's covering around 100 square meters on daily bases + two kids running around). I wold like to know if someone replaced his Irobot with this brand and he is happy with it? Cheers

Just an expression. Haha
does anyone know if these can handle heavy soiling? have 3 children and floor can get messy with crisp and biscuit crumbs,
Best read this first if you have a dog, cat or any other non-caged animal ...

We have this robot vacuum cleaner. We bought her a month ago, it's our best purchase this year. We just turn her on and let her clean!

We have a carpet with tassels. She would sometimes get caught so we just fold them over now!

You can also pick her up and let her roam upstairs (she won't go down the stairs)!

It's amazing how much dust she vacuums up (and therefore how much dust I've never noticed before!).
Anyone know about the reliability of these? It's a 1 year warranty. I know the Roomba 650's used to have a dirt trap in their shielded bearings meaning they broke pretty much at the year 1 point.

Anyone had one of these more than say 6 months?

I have this Eufy 11. It works with Alex in conjunction with Logitech Harmony and IFTTT.

"Alexa, trigger vacuum my house."

"Alexa, trigger stop vacuuming."

Works perfectly.

How much u paid for irobot?
Does anyone know if this works well for studio flats? My flat is small, only 34 sq metres and one room with open plan kitchen, I have quite a lot of things/furniture on the floor. Is it better for clear bi spaces than small ones?
