This is the launch price for the new Eufy robot vacuum cleaner. It has a higher suction power in comparison to their other current models (2500Pa vs 2000Pa).

There is also a launch discount for their G20 Hybrid, which has a very similar spec to the G20, but with an additional mopping function. It is only £30 more than the G20, but some may prefer the G20 due to its slightly bigger dust box (the G20 Hybrid has a smaller dust box due to the inclusion of a water tank). G20 Hybrid: amazon.co.uk/dp/…Z9V (£229.99 after redeeming the £70 voucher on the page)

I would highly recommend the models that come with mop attachment.

It’s a manual process of putting the water in exactly when you want it to mop… but it’s so good leaving it on over night and you wake up to freshly mopped and hoovered clean floors

I have the G10 hybrid on hardwood / tile floors.

As a parent / pets owner it’s given us hours of time back over the week and couldn’t recommend them more.

If you need for carpets / rugs I’d recommend getting the roller brush version as the cheaper models will only pick up surface dirt/ dust.

If you have door thresholds with a slight lip on would it stop and not move rooms?

I haven't owned a Eufy but have had a few robot vacuums over the last 8 years or so and all of them crossed and passed over door thresholds quite easily. As long as it's only a "slight lip" like you mention this should manage it with no problem,

I've got the 15C. Pretty sure that a small lip won't cause any problems - mine manages to get over wires without a problem (for it - it's a pain for me cos it then tries to suck them up).

Love the idea of the hybrid, but this puts me off:

That does sound like a slight design flaw!! Surely it must be able to tell the difference between hard and soft surfaces!!

Owned a few robot hoovers and would offer contrary advice, skip the Mop entirely, you need to refill it daily and its literally dragging a wet rag and it's as effective as you might imagine that is.
Also, spend slightly more and get a model with lidar, it will do a much better job.

Agreed. I have this particular model (with the mop) and I only use it as a maintenance hoovering or clean after I have used the main hoover. Don't get me wrong, they are okay but my next plan is to get one with a lidar. I don't bother about the mopping features to be honest.

I have this with the mop feature too. The hoover function is awesome. It doesn't replace the need for hoovering/sweeping, but gets so much extra dirt. It doesn't get stuck in doorways ect but wires is an issue for me. I don't rate the mop feature personally.

    Ok… I’m down the rabbit hole now… what’s a lidar?

Some advice on the mop function:

The tank isn’t big enough to cover an entire floor without needing a refill or two. I personally only use the mop function when I’m at home so that I can refill + give the cloth a quick clean every 20-30 mins. It does leave the floor clean and fresh after but isn’t as hands off as one would expect.

I also own the Eufy 30C and that one has worked well for 3ish years. About 6 months ago it did start developing some issues where one of the brushes stopped rotating when using on carpet (medium pile) and it gets stuck more often than it used to (probably something to do with the sensors).

It's a mapping feature for the robot to see its environment and avoid obstacles/better know where it is in the world to provide a more comprehensive cleaning experience.

Only thing with the lidar ones I've tried (eufy x8 and ecovacs) from time to time they seem to lose their map which can be a pain, maybe this will be better in that sense.

I'm hoping Roborock start becoming available in the UK at a decent price and warranty.

Same. Our ground floor is mainly Karndean. We can shut door to the main carpet rooms but then having to remove rugs and lay the magnetic tape across openings would be a faff. Be quicker to manual mop after the robot has swept up debris.
