Does this work with Alexa and google home. Can this climb up and down the stairs, do you need to use the remote everytime. Can you give it name and call out everytime you need a clean

I have the 11C which does and works amazingly on my wooden floors. I think this is the cheaper non WiFi one.
Neither will do stairs and you can set a schedule, I have every other day at 8am, or in my case just ask Alexa.
Love mine, does a way better job than I expected tbh.

Full of long hair. Perhaps I'm getting the two confused.

The dust collector obviously needs emptying regularly, but beyond that: the roller needs de-clogging (as hairs tangle around it) and occasionally stripping down to the bearings. The side brushes also get tangled. I've also had blocked bumpers, wheels, and once stripped the whole Eufy down completely to the internals.

It worked like a dream until the guarantee ran out and I'm possibly unlucky (compounded by having two long haired girls in the house). But don't be put off if your house suits an Eufy (ours has all wooden floors and is level and open). Just be prepared to fiddle with screwdriver every now and then. YouTube also has some useful maintenance videos.

When they work, they are great. We have a very busy household so the Eufy helps keep the floors clean in-between full vacuuming. So I justified the cost as one part of avoiding having a cleaner... on that basis it's helped save us many times the cost.

I have been reading comments on Amazon, like you say, it seems past warranty period they are a bit unreliable. I wonder if it's best to give this a miss?

Does yours clean the whole room / rooms efficiently without leaving areas or going over same area repeatedly.

As this does not have mapping fiction I suppose it's to be expected...
This is actually a good price, I bought this about 6 months ago (11c) all the difference is WiFi or not (11) however mine gave up and now grinds when it’s in operation to the point it sounds like the motor will break, contacted the Eufy support *still in warranty and they sent out a refurbished one, however it is a fantastic device and quite surprises me what it collects on schedules. Worth it IMO.

My original Eufy 11 has no mapping function and very inefficient random walk, but it works. It depends on your layout and whether you have long haired inhabitants.

I too would like to know if the maintenance issues are common for other models. I'm considering upgrading as they are helpful.

Please take opinions on balance though. I may be unlucky and if you don't have long haired residents then this is a cheap option.

(Edit: I paid £200 for Eufy 11 in April 2017. It's possible they have modified this version since the early ones).

(Edit 2: support when in warranty is excellent)

Quite a few comments are marking it down for long hair. Every vacuum cleaner with a rotating brush has the same issue.
Only difference is a human operated model is more routinely checked. As a home adapts to having one of these, it will get neglected other than required empties.
I’ve not made the jump yet as not sure how well it would cope in our chair strewn home and joining strips between rooms. It’s on my home automation to do list though.
good try OP

I got mine for my wife's birthday in January, at first she was put out but now its genuinely they best present she has had. She has long hair and lots of it and I have not had the issues described as above.

Even if it only lasts 2 years I would go out and get another (probably one that is not a "random walk" ) as it really does the job, we have two young kids and as long as we pick everything up it copes well. We have a large "ramp" type joining strip between two rooms and it gets up and down no issue.

Definitely worth a punt imo.

I'd get battered if I bought the wife a birthday vaccum cleaner

I did get her something else as well but I kept that quiet for a week, it was good to sleep on the sofa and catch up on my boxsets for a while!!

(in retrospect she loves this, really frees up her time to do the dusting)
