I've had an alert on this for a while as it has usually been £160-180 although ocassionally dropped to £140 as it's lowest.

You can also get a Eufy WiFi Smart Plug for half price instead of £14.99 as well when you purchase.

I don't know anything about eufy, or the product, but I presume this is a knockoff of the ring/nest one. In which case, isn't £135 expensive for a knockoff?

What's the server like? Reliable?

If I remember well people said it's by ANKER, so if that is the case it's supposed to be a quality product..
Edit: by ANKERDIRECT.

Motion detection issues are mentioned in several customers' reviews.

One of the main selling points of the eufy stuff is that all storage is local, as opposed to being uploaded to a server. Thus also no requirement for a subscription. Some good reviews of this one on YouTube.
I have been doing alot of research into spotlight cams and this comes tops compared to ring and others on the market. Quality product had to to invest at this price. Heat.
Anker seem to have 2 concurrent systems running with their security cameras. the Eufycam., Eufycam2, 2C and E (and i think wireless doorbell) connect to the homebase and use that as a hub and recording storage. This floodlight, trhe wired doorbell and the new indoor cams all use local storage and dont connect through the homebase. Im not sure why they have it like this but it seems if you are going to have a hub you should connect all devices through it, or at least use different brandings to differentiate the ones that do and dont.

I think they plan to incorporate all of the cameras eventually. On that amazon page it states:

"Can the floodlight camera support data backup to eufyCam HomeBase?

The feature is in plan. Please stay tuned!"

they seem to have a lot of "coming soon" on their products, reading the eufycam reddit it seems a lot of these never happen or are just forgot about.

dont get me wrong, i have the eufycam 2 kit and really like it, it wasnt possible for me to do cable runs to where i needed them and i will be adding more of these and would like to add the indoor cams and dorrbell when released in the UK. But i want to buy them based on what they can do now rather than what they might do in the future.

I get where you're coming from, It does seem a bit like that. I have the 2C kit already and wanted this and the doorbell to go along with it. Waiting for a price drop on that or for them to sell without the base as already have one. All I would say is that it does seem like they actively make improvements and upgrades based on feedback. Most the recent reviews are 5* on amazon suggesting they've sorted detection issues that were apparent on initial release.

This price is a good deal but not the lowest. Still going to vote hot.

Only issue is no AI. Motion detection isnt fixed yet too. I am constantly contacting them for an update.

If I can go back, i would get a ring flood light. It seems like they are still getting updates.
Anyone have any idea how this would look at front door ? I know its subjective but my concern is the looks of it but does a great job for what's it designed to do.
If its local storage what happens if the whole thing is stolen or smashed
Will the recording still be available?

No because its stored on the device, some of the other cameras, 2, 2E, 2C and one of the doorbells strore their footage on a homebase located somwhere else on your network.

That's pretty useless then for a security camera which is outside
