Brilliantly made docufilm. Not your usual holocaust film. I paid £15 more than this a couple of years ago.

Nice cheery film for a Saturday night in

A viewing must and a good price for this. Also includes a 300 page book.

The Birth of a Nation (Blu-ray)

Only been collecting MoC Blu-rays and only started to get into MoC properly just very recently. The above order will bring my collection to 35 Blu-rays now. A fair bit to go yet to get the rest but it will happen one day.

And yes the two new release #99 - Intolerance & #106 - Les Misérables comes in at £10.49 each, which is the cheapest on the land at the moment. Furthermore they are already shipping these titles and orders placed over the weekend should be shipped on Monday, the official release date is 8th December, a week later. My last and first order with Eureka arrived next day after being shipped out so the dispatch & delivery service is top notch.

Going by heat ratings i really don't think people actually appreciate what MoC releases are about, shame that.

As for the posts then i was kind of thinking to make a single post but as there weren't that many i decided just to have them separately.

Very Hot absolutely beautiful package worth every penny and more

I've already got the steel book editions of Nosferatu & Mabuse, but I thought this offer from Eureka might be worth a mention. Wings is supposed to be fantastic.
Have seen computer chess and thought it could have been so much better. Not one of Eureka's best modern films to promote.
Birth of a Nation has been £9.99 for a while too.

What is the benefit of having this, or any of these films on blu ray, as … What is the benefit of having this, or any of these films on blu ray, as opposed to DVD ? Good films, but the original footage is poor quality.

I agree with you to some extent as there are countless versions of this film available on DVD and it's also available to watch on YouTube, however Eureka's Masters of Cinema blu rays are usually restored to give the viewer the best possible sound and vision experience (without giving the film a complete CGI overhaul). Nearly all MoC releases come with quality extras and an informative booklet, which is why some of these releases don't often sell for less than £10, plus this deal comes direct from Eureka, rather than a 3rd party seller (i.e. Amazon).
Extras for this release include:
Brand new high - definition restoration by Friedrich - Wilhelm - Murnau - StiftungTwo audio commentaries: one newly recorded by film historian David Kalat; the second by historian R. Dixon Smith and critic Brad Stevens
The Language of Shadows, a 53 - minute documentary on Murnau's early years and the filming of Nosferatu
New video interview with BFI Film Classics Nosferatu author Kevin Jackson
Newly translated English subtitles with original German intertitles
PLUS: a 56 - page booklet featuring writings and rare imagery

What is the benefit of having this, or any of these films on blu ray, as opposed to DVD ? Good films, but the original footage is poor quality.

Birth Of A Nation blu ray is also £9.99 but I didn't think it was worthy of a separate deal.

Yup, good to support Eureka directly too. Also note the Scorsese's World Cinema Foundation Volume 1 set is only £16.99! In comparison it's £25.99 from Zavvi, £32.59 from Base, or £32.98 from Amazon. 3 films restored by the foundation with introductions from Marty and each are dual format (i.e. blu-ray + DVD), though there are no extras for the set (generally understandable as they are difficult-to-source films in the first place).
