You are possibly mis-remembering or heard incorrectly. It is "toe poke".

A commentator may say "... has a punt from there" meaning shot but this is not a usual football soccer reference and merely a commentator trying to use a word that the have just learnt!
'Punt it' is widely used at any game I attend.
Punt would be what wales did..........up to Bale.....everytime...........team of the tournament apparently..........

Absolutely not, i'm not english nor an england fan.

Robson-Kanu is a carthorse
You lost to England
2 Bale goals due to keeper errors
You beat Northern Ireland ffs
You'd have been mauled by Germany, France, Spain or Italy
Knocked out by an awful Portugal team

And I'm not Welsh, so that was a wasted effort Let's hear how well your team did then, obviously not Portugal?

That second robot pic should be flipped, England keepers are incapable of saving to their left when it matters.
Still £5 in my tesco
ours donated them to library, he wanted them to go to schools instead! but library staff said they will use them for competition

Wales qualified for one major tournament in 50 years..............Big deal. Take Ramsey and Bale out and you have a pub team. If you qualify for the world cup (and I don't think you will) then come back and gloat - till then give it a rest.

Ps - just waiting for Gollywood's next foul mouthed reply.

we called it a toe bung X) the toe poke was a simple tap in with the toe

agreed. toe poke is an outstretched poke often over the line to score. toe punt is kicking it hard with your toes. my 5 year old hasn't learnt to use the instep properly and insists on toe punting it at the moment. he'll learn!

heat for price. will check next time I'm in Mr T's

Only the less skilful kids ever used a toe punt back in my day. Mind you, it was a sight to behold when a hi-tec slammer was used to toe punt a ball in from 30 yards out.

The irony is lost on this one.

"If you qualify for a world cup then come back and gloat" X)

They got to the semis of a major international tournament! The closest England have got to a semi in the last 25 years was when John Terry was introduced to his teammates WAG's during the 2006 World Cup

better to buy the ones they're selling in Iceland, they go that bit further.
England are a joke. Always have been, always will be. Wales were more exciting to watch than England ever have been. Anyway football is boring, why am i even participating in this bloody convo? lol grrr.

Oh and its toe poke.
Euro 16 was cold, but this is hot

Ha! Regional theory confirmed then, I guess! Never heard that one! The English language must be so hard to learn from scratch! Haha
Are people actually bothered about international football in general?
Not in Glasgow
The Tesco Express in Western Road, Hove has them in the fridge. Ideal if you like your balls lightly chilled.

Yawn - come back if you qualify for another major tournament - don't hold your breath though. (_;)

Ps - math's not your strong point? It was 20 years (Euro 96) since England last reached last 4.

Pps - can't wait to hear another of your cutting (but totally innaccurate) replies. Lmao.
