Not that hot... the Eurohike Hampton 6 is nearly the same price but far roomier. And dont be fooled by 'sale' price, most of these tents by Blacks/Millets are these prices pretty much all year round!

It's not an 8 person tent.

Not quite sure how you think it’s roomier??

The Buckingham Elite is 3.3m wide with four people at each end.... 3.3m / 4 = 0.825m per person

The Hampton 6 is 3.6m wide for all 6 people, which only gives 3.6m / 6 = 0.6m per person

So this is plain wrong.... the Hampton 6 is less roomy and generally speaking not as good as the elite

Lol ok, could be a tight squeeze but let's agree to disagree.
Maybe Eurohikes are roomier.

Surely you’re not expecting a tardis for £260?

No of course not, still a tight squeeze.

Hampton 6 is roomier outside of the sleeping quarters thats for sure partly because of the higher head room and big windows (I owned one for 2 years and I know a relative who's had the Elite too) plus you get a sheltered porch area. If you really are looking to fit 8 people snug and not much else then I suppose this is fine. But I wouldn't call it a fantastic buy at this price.

It's definitely tight, I've been in one. If you have 8 people to fit you really are better putting them in 2x 6-man tents like the Hampton

That’s great if you want to spend over £500 on two tents that will take twice as long to erect and twice as long to pack away

Trust me if you really want to enjoy camping with 8 people you either need 2x tents or at least a large 10-12 man tent. But dont listen to me, you sound like you've got it all figured out!

Not to mention paying for two pitches
Got this 2 years ages as needed space to sleep 8 peeps. For the price it okay but need minimum 2 adult to erect. Will be upgrading to an air tent next year. Just waiting for prices to drop

Same places do. But if u phone them up and give size of tent they usually pitch u next to an empty space. Which was the case for me last year

Ah fair enough, I've not come across that before. I actually struggle with some sites accepting the size of my tent full stop. I went steel frame several years ago, learnt a valuable lesson one day!
It's a beast of a tent and not the best to transport, ill look at air when it's time but there's plenty of life in my current one

Let's be honest, once you go past ultralight and 2-3 man tents then set up time is a terrible metric.

If you are setting up for 8 people..a few extra minutes does not matter at all. You could argue it but you are being disingenuous if you do.
