I know so basically it's just driving a truck around so gets boring easy?

That depends entirely on how much you enjoy pretending to drive trucks around Europe. It doesn't get 'boring easy' because of what it is. It gets 'boring easy', for you, if you don't enjoy what it is.

Anyone know if its a good game?

Brilliant. You can get lost for hours on it. I’d spend a little more and get the going east edition. That open Europe up

Really recommend the game if you have a wheel, yes its effectively driving a truck but the single player is good and theres also truckersmp (a very popular online mod for the game)

Good game on a normal monitor, but stick on a vr headset and it becomes a awesome game, and almost all the workshop mods work in vr as well.......but comes with one caveat, once you plsy in vr you can't ever go back to a flat monitor.

Brilliant game
Is it easy for kids to play? My young lad would go nuts for something like this, but not sure how complicated it is.

It's fairly complicated. Depends on your boy's age and also his understanding (and attention span) of 'real world driving'. As mentioned above, it's by no means a boring game but calculating when to start turning, how to reverse with a trailer, indicating, etc might not seem appealing to most young boys. But you never know. I mean, it's only short of £4 anyway

Thanks for your input! I had a look at the Steam page and it looks like it'll be a bit too complicated for him (he's 7), but there's a free demo anyway so we can have a look at that. Cheers!
Had this game for years still play it 2-3 hours everyday such a good game!
Its actually a great business management sim too for people that dont realise, its not just driving trucks around. Great game, especially with a wheel setup. Heat
Thanks, bought
i also have a code for this too, slide into my dms if you want it for the low low cost of zero pennies

edit: codes gone

Props to fuzzle for their generousity!
Well worth the money. I use a Logitech wheel now but works very well with a controller too.

I normally play this for a few hours a week while I listen to 5Live/podcasts.
Plus if you buy now, all the DLC is currently on sale for a mere £76.13...

I'm into racing games, I can cruise for hours on GTA etc. but I got bored fairly quickly with ETS2. Dunno why, I used to play 3D driving school years ago, where you got a panicked face from the instructor if you started driving quickly

Pan has farm simulator for 14p
Will this work after the 31st?

It's easy in a way that you could just drive.. it's open world and child friendly.
The biggest difference to other racing games is the steering (especially if not on a wheel) as it is not instant turn when pushing the stick
Good to play game. Nice and simple to settle down and play in your downtime. But eventually got to go back to the day job.. of long haul truck driving!!

What vr headset did you use and did you have to tweak the settings in any way as I didn’t see it being available in vr?
I found it too dull, the journeys just take too long and I want them over with. Can drive for an hour with almost nothing happening except a refuel. Two minutes to pick another job then another long and boring drive.

With no hussle and bussle of people walking on the streets and making noise the whole thing feels a bit cold and lifeless. I can see why others like it but be aware it is a very slow paced game with little to do.

The game will still be available to buy, but it's only this price until the 27th.
Worth it if you fancy driving some frozen peas from London to Newcastle.
Oh cool, now we can simulate importing goods from Europe with tariffs

Works on both cv1 and vive, and it supports vr natively these days so it should see your hmd when you start it up. Tweaks wise i don't use any, i just pick high setting and it runs great, no issues, some mods from the workshop can impact on performance but nothing to write home about, but if you have a vr hmd i highly recommend this and American truck sim.
Great fun if you have a wheel with pedals

My 7-8yr old daughter loves it, I was quite surprised by how addicted she got to it. She thinks she can drive real trucks now and is asking when she can go for a drive in the car I stick it in easy auto which just means she has to worry about the brake and accelerator. I stuck some cheats on her profile that gave her money a lot quicker, so now she's pimped out her truck with some workshop items. My younger son by 2 years struggles with it a bit more than her and prefers the lego games. He loves his Pikachu sat next to him though.
NB: I bought the Logitech G29 wheel for it

Brilliant game, before last week I had played about 5hrs using mouse and keyboard and thought it was great...

Fast forward to earlier this week I got the xrocker stand for my logitech wheel and pedals... this game and even similar games are 1000% better, I've played close to 20hrs now
