My, how things have progressed; I do a lot of camping and the most common thing I hear about these air tents is that they take up a load of boot space and weigh a ton, for very little benefit. A bit like the "Pop-up Tents" fad, these are merely a solution to a problem that doesn't exist.

1) pop-up tents weren't a "fad" - they were introduced years ago and are still very popular
2) Air tents aren't a solution to a "problem that doesn't exist" - they are designed to make erecting a tent easier. Pitching a poled tent in bad weather or on your own as a single parent, etc... can be difficult and offputting. Air tents are hugely popular and growing in popularity every season.
3) I don't need a 3 because 1 and 2 were so good

I also agree with horsepills, I had a Vango Oregon 8 man tent and we went through poles like nobody’s business, my wife has terrible trouble understanding her role when putting up a tent and also had several poles snap in high winds so an inflatable has been a revelation. Yes they take up more room in the boot but so what? I’ve never had to leave anything I needed behind.
We also have a pop up tent that we take for 1 nighters when we take the kayak’s out (they’re also inflatable, I imagine you disapprove of those too?)

So Roger, I respectfully disagree with everything you have said.
Yeah and as much as I can get a tent up like anyone else, going at it when it's peeing down is hardly fun. I'm guessing you can just hook this up and sit in your car
Another vote for inflateable tents... and also for their pointlessness in smaller ones.
I had a huge pole tent for the family, nearly impossible to erect in any sort of wind, and on your own, literally impossible without a series of winches and pulleys.
Swapped it for an inflatable, it's like I've invented fire.
However, for a smaller tent like this, I'd agree it's completely manageable on your own, and even in wind, I'd ponder the advantages over what, 3 poles?
That said, good price for what it is, voted hot.
Don't forget 6.3% TCB on top!
1. Air tents are awesome. Roger knows not a lot
I bought the Coleman Air Valdes 6XL last year and although it's heavy and large it is so easy to put up that you don't actually need any help.
We bought a roof rack so we would have extra space in the car.
I got this for my friend who regularly camps with us with 3 small children and she says its the easiest tent she's ever had to put up on her own and it feels so much sturdier than the others she's had
Decathlon do some really good air tents, especially the blackout tents that are white/silver on the outside and have very clever vents in the sleeping area so you can sleep in the middle of the day if you wish.

Agree. When not in use the air tents are bigger and heavier but if you have the space the larger tents (6 man +) are so much easier to erect than the comparable pole versions. This one seems a bit small to fully benefit from being an air tent. Good deal though.

Go Outdoors don’t price match when codes are used (gooutdoors.co.uk/pri…tee), or have I misunderstood how to get this for £180?

My friend & I went into Go outdoors & they price matched & gave her the extra 10% off.
Maybe it's because it's a Blacks code i'm not sure.
If you can't get it price matched you can get £12 cash back through quidco instead
