Gdansk is a beautiful City that comes alive at Christmas, The markets are running from 5th December through to the 23rd December 2014. You will find the most beautiful venitian carosel and ice skating rink. This year is extra special as they are having a special theme with Christmas trees from around the world and you can read all about it on our blog.

There are lots of cheap flights available throughout the month of December, from various UK airports and using Skyscanner is a great tool to help you find them. Our example here is based on flights from Stansted on 9th December 2014 returning on 11th December 2014.

We have included in the price of your stay a 2 night stay at the Wynajem Pokoi Villa based on the reviews (8.8/10) over at Bookings.com. There are however many options for hotels all within the same price range, and some even cheaper so you can have a browse until you find something that suits you.

Christmas Markets Break to Dublin including Flights, Hotel & Airport Transfers just £42.78 each !!

We know you love your Christmas Markets and we think you will love this break too. Just £43 each for Return Flights, good accommodation and airport transfers during the festivities will be money well spent.

There are two Christmas markets which will enchant you with their twinkling lights and beautiful seasonal gifts on offer. Dublin's finest craftsmen gather in the sea of festive wooden stalls to sell their wares ranging from soap to jewelry.

Your mouth will water with the delights on offer which include crepes or tuck yourself away in one of the traditional taverns with a bowl of Irish stew which will be sure to warm you up.

With flights leaving the UK early and departing late the following day you can make a one night break stretch to a full two day trip.

Ryanair are currently offering many flights, from various departure airports at £9.99 each way however our example here is based on flights from Birmingham on 16th December 2014 returning on 17th December 2014. Cheap flights are also available from Manchester, London, Liverpool, Glasgow and Bristol. They are generous with cabin bag allowance which means each person can take on board a 10kg case and a small handbag each. There are many departure airports to choose from and you can use Skyscanner to check for flights from your local airport.

We have chosen the Clifden Hotel here which is rated 3.5/5 on Trip Advisor and is in a prime location in the City Centre of Dublin for getting out and about. You will have easy access to the main streets, markets and Temple Bar.

Getting to and from the airport in double is a bit further than one might think and therefore even the public bus costs a good few euros so for this package we have included a return ticket with the flybus, also known as the aircoach. These are great value and cost just 22 euros for 2 x people return.

Want to start planning your trip? Check Trip Advisor for things to do.

That's a great effort. Heat added. Hope nobody get stuck in snowy Gdańsk...

I agree - thanks Stacey

wow so detailed, idiot proof explanations. Bravo

Very cheap. Surprised you can get a Hotel in Dublin so cheap, normally very expensive (£100+) or miles outside the city. Not sure there's any reason to go there around christmas though, they have nice decorations but I dont recall any markets last time. Though imho, it's a horrible, depressing city. Prague on the other hand, would be lovely.

I quite fancy Dublin, but if the relatives find out I'll never see the outside of a pub while I'm there!

What do I get a couple of for £85.00?

Its the first year of the Christmas Market in St.Stephen's Green Dublin. Heading on Monday for 3 nights.
Hotel in North Dublin, beside dart train station and beach (well ok less than 5 min walk and not time of year for the beach!). 3BB and 1 dinner in a Luxury Suite 240 Euro total. Though this was a past customer deal by ringing them up.

. Lol yep and we have biggest shopping centres too who wants to go to New York , Europe when you can have a weekend in Birmingham !.... Face palm...

I want to take you by the hand and take you around the Christmas market in Bremen. We would trample through the snow in our colour coordinated stylish winter wear, stopping for delicious bratwurst and gluhwein at the finest market stalls. After picking up inexpensive yet high quality handcrafted Christmas presents for each other, we would retire to bed in the finest hotel suite overlooking the market for a more magical winter wonderland experience..

Malbork castle near Gdansk is a spectacular sight and a great day out

thanks

I've been to Gdansk. They have swans in the sea. Not relevant but true

I think what you do is amazing Stacey. I would love to take advantage of this wondeful list of deals but I am in my 70's and a bit nervous about bokking hotels and flights seperately just in case I book the hotel then cant get the flights and visa versa. I might just take the plunge but would prefer Eat Midlands Airport as I live in Derby but Ryanair dont do EMA.
Well done Stacey

Hi Lum, I totally understand your worry. Ryanair have 15 routes from East Midlands Airport so it is worth taking a look at their website. You can actually go into a travel agent and speak with them about helping you with a DIY holiday, I am sure they would be only too pleased to help you make the booking and print off your boarding passes etc. (I would anyway

booked up for gdansk, thanks Stacey

Hi lum this is only a suggestion what i do first is book any hotel with free cancellation then book the flights. Then nearer the day look around if theres a better deal and because its free cancellation theres no penalty to switching hotels.

Are there any good websites / route planners for the public transport in Gdansk please? I've checked TripAdvisor / shuttle transfer sites but the Kowale / Kolbudy district doesn't seem to be too central, so I don't think getting a bus to the centre (late at night) would be wise!

Anyone booking a Dublin trip and fancy a visit to the Guinness Store there is an offer on for 20% off early bird tickets if you buy your ticket before the 30th November

guinness-storehouse.com

what I would suggest... consider Wroclaw in South West Poland, if you unsure type it in YouTube, best Xmas market and amazing city overall. Cheap flights from Luton (wizzair) or Stanstead (Rayanair)

A bit late to reply Ben , but Gdansk is a perfectly safe place to visit. I've been 4 times & 2 of those were late arrivals & i had no issues with the airport bus.

Inyourpocket is a brilliant website ( & guidebook - get one from the airport )
