To be fair, not a great "sale" this week... certainly not enticing enough for an imminent Bank Holiday Weekend

BFN,

fp.

Not a lot of interest this week, unfortunately.

I enjoyed playing Price of Persia Classic last night though (from last week's offers). The game is as tough as I remember, and I am only a few levels in!

Waiting for an offer on Peggle next (it is supposed to be pretty, pretty good)

The rumour about the "Prince of Persia Classic" title being offered within the Collector's Edition of the new Prince of Persia game ("The Forbidden Sands") also proved to be true (as I saw at ShopTo.net this morning).

Do you still need to be "pixel perfect" (well, not in a "Hunchback" jump-the-gaps-in-the-wall kind of way but in order) to clear some of the platforms in the "Prince of Persia Classic" title? That always annoyed me when playing on a PC. You could be right on the edge of a level, jump & miss, but press a keyboard button too much & you'd fall to the floor. I don't think I ever finished that game, but I recall getting near to the last level.

I have to agree. Very poor offers.

I probably won't be buying the new Prince of Persia game, so I was happy to pay £4 for the 'classic' version.

It is very finicky, much like the original. The line between success and failure is very fine indeed.

I am being beaten by the fighting element at the moment, which I don't recall being so much of a problem in the original. I think they have tried to 'jazz' up the fighting a bit too much if I am honest. I'm sure I'll get the hang of it though (hopefully.....)

I did manage to beat the original game (on the Amiga) and I'm going to make darn sure that I do it again! :-D

Quick 'bump' to re-promote this thread before the offered content available over the last two weeks is back to the pre-sale price (where applicable) later today.
