The following I would be interested in, but the typical/average pricing of PlayStation Network content seems to be creeping higher on a regular basis now...

Pac-Man Championship Edition DX (£7.99/EUR9.99)
Burn Zombie Burn: The Diarrhea of the Dead Bundle (£7.19/EUR8.99)

This is *still* over-priced, even with the inclusion of the free "Blue Toad Advent Calendar Theme" (available separately for £1.19/EUR1.49)...

Blue Toad Murder Files: Ep 1-6 Christmas Bundle (£17.49/EUR21.99)

(It was also announced recently that this title is going to be released for the PC platform)

However, I will be downloading...

The four "Joe Danger" add-on items (including the Chimp, "Chuckles", that was the reason why one publisher dismissed representing Hello Games' title because they wanted a "monkey on a bike" instead)

As the "Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light Things that Go Boom Pack" is FREE for 30 days (then £2.39/EUR2.99) I will download this in preparation for buying the unlock key for the full game (if it falls in price in the future).

I am disappointed that the European 'Store does not offer the PSP Demo version of "Split/Second" like the US 'Store has had available for the last two weeks.

...and no "Hustle Kings" demo version (in any region) for another week

BFN,

fp.

I just wanted to add my thanks for taking the time and effort to share all of that with us. Heat and rep!

You are very welcome. Is there anything that takes your fancy in this week's update?

£15.99 for Forgotten Sands?

It's £9.99 brand new on 360/PS3. Makes you wonder how Sony ever thought digital distribution would catch on!

Heat added, fanpages.

I am happy paying £8 for Pacman, as it looks ace - 10/10 review @ Eurogamer and 9/10 on Destructoid. Good enough for me. The exchange rate on the game is poor though - $9.99 does not = 9.99 Euros, or £7.99. It should really be 8 Euros and £6.50ish.

Good plan regards Lara Croft (presuming it works....). I can't recommend it enough, and it really is worth £10.

I think the introduction of Minis was the beginning of the end for the sensible pricing structure that was in place. Gone are the days of paying around £5 for a full PSN title - e.g. Pixel Junk Monsters, flow, Crash Commando. The (mostly naff) Mini brand now hovers around that price point, pushing the full PSN titles up around the £10 mark.

As has been told to me on numerous occassions though "Sony do not set the prices". Apparently.

Thank heavens for cheap PSN credit, is all I can say. ~£15 for £20 worth makes the store and pricing structure that much more bearable

....going in the basket this week:

Pacman
BC:Vietnam theme
some Joe Danger outfits
Lara Croft DLC
Advent calendar theme (maybe?)

.....btw, if you want to shoot zombies, I would give Burn, Zombie, Burn a miss, and save your cash for Dead Nation (which arrives next week)
Edited by: "flamingcarrot" 24th Nov 2010

Cheers dude. I also will be getting chuckles the chimp.
I may grab Lara, looks a good game to play when stuffed with turkey.
Extra info on the DLC: Four new explosive challenge maps featuring a variety of tense puzzles, deadly traps, and relentless combat encounters (size 94mb).

Woooh PixelJunk Monsters forever!

This approach worked for Episode 3 of "Blue Toad Murder Files", & the previous 'free for a limited time' (two weeks) downloaded content for "Brütal Legend", "Tears of the Hextadon".

Nothing lost if it doesn't though.

flamingcarrot

I can't recommend it enough, and it really is worth £10.

I know... if disc space was not such an issue for me I would probably have bought it for now, but I had to delete the demo version to start a multiplayer game of "Uncharted 2: Among Thieves" the last time (a week last Monday) we all played online together. I now don't have the room to re-download it, so it is pointless buying at present. When (if) I buy a new "slim" PS3 console in the coming month(s) I will probably add it to my virtual shopping basket. However, if I do not buy a new console soon, I'm hoping many prices will have changed from their originally listed amounts & I can take advantage of all the great stuff I've had to ignore in the past.

Yes, that is probably true. I have not bothered with any of the "minis" to date (although I know you have).

What was annoying was last week's introductory price for "Peggle". I bought this for 49p from the Apple Store... not the £6.99 being asked at present from PlayStation Network.

I notice it is not discounted like the other PopCap titles are on many other platforms. Perhaps the UK could adopt Thanksgiving Day next year if it means we benefit from reduced prices too.

Good thought, but I bought "Burn Zombie Burn" when it first hit the 'Store & the subsequent "...In Space" content.

Hmmm... to be fair, I have not played it for some time even if I was seriously considering it (regardless of the listed price).

As I've mentioned before to you, "Dead Nation" is a definite purchase for me next week when it is released. The proposed £9.99 selling price is justified given the game's content (although, to repeat myself, I cannot confirm or deny how I know!).

Have you got a 360 too? 800 points on there so a bit cheaper, I think. I bought 4200 points for £28.68 that's 68p per point, right? so 800 points = £5.44? £2.55 cheaper? I daren't start factoring in the quidco cashback I got on the points cards, or the free points that got added to my account because I bought 2 games...
I'll get demos for both, but doubt there'll be much difference between the 2.

The PlayStation Store content is not usually updated until 4pm, typically 5pm-6pm or, on occasion, later so you will probably not see it yet.

Have you bought the main game already?

We had a brief discussion about it in this thread:
"Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light" Early Access Offer [PS3 / PC] from GameSpot (UK)

The patch for online co-operative play was released in the last week I think [...fc?].

PS. You could try using the 'Store's "Search" facility from 4pm if the "Latest" content has not been udpated as you can often find new items before they are officially published in one section.

can already be found for under £30(£27 at gameplay according to gamestracker), with da2 out in a few months think the price of da:o ue will come down further.

I'm kind of p***ed off having paid full price shortly after it came out and still haven't played it(well I got a £50 psn card for £40 from tesco so wasn't really full price but but still several quid more then now).

I ended up getting the ultimate edition on the pc, I've ordered da2 signiture edition on the pc so thought I'd get da:o completed on the pc ready for da2 . da2 wouldn't use the character from da:o but from what I've read your choices in da:o will effect da2.

No, I don't have a 360 - hoping to get lucky in the Amazon Black Friday offer this week though (£50 for a 4GB Slim). Like the 360 itself, I think my chances of getting one are pretty 'slim'.

The Lara Croft co-op patch went live earlier this week - Monday, I think.

DJ Hero 2 - Tiësto Mix Pack Presented by Coca-Cola is free for Americans as it's full of adverts by, well it's not Pepsi. They have the cheek to charge £6.29 for it here!

Anyone have any idea if/when the latest Ace Combat will drop from, £32 on PSN?
The UMD is £15 on Amazon. I only just got a Go, but paying double for a download is not really for me.

I'm afraid it's always going to be like that for Go users That's why they had to sweeten the deal with 10 games.

Thank you all for the info i didn`t know about that yes i do have the full game got it the day it came out i love tomb raider series. I still have tons of games still sealed like AVP, battlefield bad company 2, mafia 2 and others.

great - thanks

Heat added as it saved me turning on my PS3 to see what the new offers were, although this is another disappointing set of PSN offers for me - it's only Prince of Persia, a football management game (which was probably overpriced to start with) and a couple of minis.

America got all the new games this week, about 7! If you've got an american account check it out, there's even a couple of demos.

Thanks for this, i can never be arsed going through all the PSN details, this was very useful, thanks again!:p
