Not places I'd want to be going at the moment, no matter how cheap

Get a life ... You have a weigh up risk just leaving the house. Can't put your life on hold just because of some nutters. Still more chance of being struck by lightening.
If you don't have to go, then why risk it?

It's called common sense.
both places now on highest alert they won't strike them twice more likely to be hit in other cities.

and as for the common sense post why give up your freedom for fear? I bet you people would happily be tracked and monitored in the guise of safety.
I'm happily taking the family camping around france this summer including a campsite outside of Paris with a plan to go to DLP, as will thousands of other British families this year. I don't feel I'm putting my family at risk, but then I'm not flying or using public transport except for eurotunnel. Who knows which country is next, could be us.

I better you never swim in the sea either after seeing Jaws.....

London is probably more dangerous than either Paris or Brussels at the moment because of the recent attacks both have extremely good security.

Which is probably why they have dropped the price.

I flew back from Brussels 2 days before the metro and airport attacks after I told people "to get a life" when they warned against visiting due to high terrorist activity. So instead of getting a new life, I'll keep the one I have thanks.

You enjoy your visit though

"The Belgian threat level remains at Level 3 – a serious and real threat. Police operations are ongoing and there have been a number of arrests relating to the recent terrorist attacks." From here;

You do have to buy a return ticket. That price is £58 return.
Just got back from Paris, and security is tight.

Soldiers walking the streets, and bag checks including metal detectors being used at all locations, including river boats. Even going in a lot of shopping centres requires you to have bags checked.

As for the price, £29 is a cheapest going rate for certain dates and availability. As it fills up, the price goes up. We paid £29 (going out)during Easter hols, but £49 coming back. Kids also go cheaper, but the price isn't shown until you enter the numbers on the selected journey.

Very smooth, very quick city centre to city centre. 2hrs 25 mins I think-just don't buy food and drink on board, shockingly expensive! like Paris.

And according to the Foreign Office the threat in the UK is the same as Belgium and France
brussels and paris??? good price but they are definitely not on my travel list anymore

not actually accurate brussels and paris have both had 2 major terrorist incidents each in last 2 years apparently security was heightenes after the 1st ones... evidently not
Sad really, Brussels is such a lovely place or was

I have opted to go sailing around the somali coast, will not be using this deal, great offer though
Is Paris now twinned with Luton and Brussels with Tower Hamlets?

I thought you just ring the navy and they come pick you up these days?

That is what Cousin Goldstein said in 1940 before he embarked on his planned tour of Europe taking in the Rhineland and hoping to pop into Munich for the beer festival.

Rule #3 in the terrorist handbook is to never blow up your benefits office.
good deal and great comments lol,but my opinion is I would travel but all you who say Paris and Brussels is a lot safer now are wrong, they come running to our security services for help as we have the best.proven,
Guess some people need to take a reality check. You are more likely to be run down by a motor than taken out by a terrorist in both cities.

Just a bit annoyed I already have my Eurostar tickets ...
Flash sale? You can fly each way with BA from £41, they don't mention flash sale.
absolutely no deal here, the tickets I have bought for the Euros two weeks ago are actually more expensive
Great price but I also think now is not the time to visit. And yes if I were from overseas London wouldn't be on my list just now either. Sad times
Problem is, for most Brits it costs a lottery win to get to London on a train in order to take advantage of the cheap fares.

Yep, went to Paris recently, stayed near the Bataclan as well. Perfectly fine, might go back if I can get something good.

Paris has clearly been affected though, it was really quiet in the whole city. Friends who live there say it's still not recovered in terms of tourism.

Well I will also be going to Europe this summer, but I hardly think anyone will attack a campsite

People are definitely still a little bit anxious.

However after the good weather of the last two and weeks the clocks changing, it seems lots more people are out and about now. I think that during the summer, it will be just the same as the summer last year.

Also most, if not all, of the places which were hit in the attacks have reopened and all are extremely busy.

Current threat from international terrorism
The current threat level for international terrorism in the UK is SEVERE.

Which is Level 4 out of 5 on our scale.

So when are you leaving Britain?

That really depends where in Britain you are though doesn't it?

In fairness, I'm more likely to skip Britain to escape the common idiot we seem to breed so well as opposed to the terrorist one
Great deal if you can find date for £29
Nice one. Think I might hop over to Brussels for a week

The terrorists responsible must feel a warm glow when reading comments such as yours. Clearly their work was successful on you.
cant find anything for 29
If they throw in a vest that protect you from flying particles associated with objects built by a not so popular, but well known 'gang' then I may consider it.

I agree. I live in London and believe the risk is higher here at the moment. In fact I'm taking Eurostar to Paris tomorrow and believe I'll be safer there due to the security measures currently in place. I'm more nervous about going to a Med beach than Paris.

It's totally safe to sail around the Somali coast, all the pirates have been recruited by Camoron/MI6 to go terrorise Syria with British soldiers training them in Jordan and Saudi Arabia where British soldiers have set up terrorist training camps.
