I'd expect the same answer from an English security guard if a french person came here and asked if they speak french.

As English people we expect the whole world to speak our language, but we are too lazy to try and speak theirs.
OP have you been to Paris? It's an absolute gutter compared to the description.

just avoid all of the restaurants that serve poor food with bad service and charge 10 euros for a sandwich.
This is copy and paste from eurostar website, lot of people have asked this question before,

''I’ve booked from one station, can I board at another?

The following information is for bookings of 9 passengers or less.

Tickets booked from St Pancras International
Tickets from St Pancras International can also be used to board at Ashford or Ebbsfleet International. Just remember that not all trains stop in Kent so be sure to check if yours will. The exception is the Direct Disney train - passengers must be booked on the train from Ebbsfleet International in order to get on or off there.

Tickets booked from Ashford or Ebbsfleet International

Tickets booked from our Kent stations can be used to board the train at St Pancras International. Remember to check when it leaves London as the time on your ticket will refer to departure from Kent.

Tickets booked from the Continent to the UK
You may only board the train at the station shown on your ticket. Once we're back in the UK though, you can get off at Ashford, Ebbsfleet or St Pancras International – just check where your train's stopping. The exception is the Direct Disney train - passengers must be booked on the train from Ebbsfleet International in order to get on or off there.

No it’s not.
Its weird because some some people love it and some people hate it.
ive enjoyed the place having been twice. Would go back tomorrow but there are other places ahead of it on the list to visit first.
Can I take my bicycle?
Great thanks

They can be very arrogant over there, if you don’t speak french I wouldn’t recommend going there. One time I asked a security guy a simple question weather he speaks English or not and his answer was: this is France!

Yeah, best you just stick to English speaking countries!
Marketing generated pap. Virtually impossible to get a sensibly timed return let alone a day return. This "offer" by Eurostar is just cheap and empty advertising.

It really depends which parts of Paris you go to! For restaurants and things to do, Trip Advisor is quite useful. But just use Google Maps and explore Paris yourself on a rented bike (Paris equivalent of Boris bikes). It's just like London really, it has its nicer parts and less nice parts!

“So you DO speak english then?”
Dunno why people hating on Paris, it's a huge city with loads of museums and things to do, lots of culture and history. Also the city is designed for women so every woman should visit at least once in her life. If you have a girlfriend and don't take her for a little weekend at this price you should be alone.
As a big traveller I have a distinct hate for Paris as well, I think the opposite, I don’t get why anyone likes it, maybe they haven’t been to other cities?!
its nothing to do with language barriers, the French are notoriously shi*ty if you don’t speak their language well but even most of them hate on ‘parisians’, think of an even more arrogant shoreditch.
The city itself does stink and is over priced as well.
Im sure you could get cheap flights to Prague or Barcelona for around this price and have a much better, friendlier welcoming time
