Nice price this. Noticed Eurostar still have some good availability on these routes at the £39 price mark, so thought I'd share. You can also go to the Netherlands for about £85 return.

Just came back from Brussels - excellent experience. Eurostar was flawless and Belgium is very good.

I took up this deal at the end of January for a long weekend in Paris. Although it's cheap, add on accomodation, additional travel, food and sightseeing, you can still end up paying a lot of money. Calculate your costs before taking it up. (edited)

In general is it cheaper to get tickets to go Amsterdam by eurotrain or getting a flight?

easyJet can be under £30 each way mid week from Gatwick, if that is convenient. But getting there takes me an hour, then the security lines where I always seem to stand behind a totally clueless group, etc all adds up. (edited)

I'm fortunate to live 6 stops away from kings cross but the price from Amsterdam to London is ridiculously high

Depends on dates, for example 20-26th September is £83 return. However other dates can cost much more

I travel to NL regularly for work and go by Eurostar every time.

It may sometimes work out more but the EasyJet flights require you to add luggage plus parking (generally) meaning they usually cost more also the benefits of Eurostar are:
    You can easily walk around
    No cramped conditions
Security is a breeze no restrictions etc
Passport control is all completed before boarding so when you arrive just walk off
You can pretty much bring all you can carry
Plus you don’t need to get there 2-3 hrs early, 30 mins is usually ok (edited)

Travel to Brussels every month for work purposes. The waiting area is usually packed like sardines and the trains are too. Generally its ok, you get on board charging but the Free Wifi is atrocious. Bring a snack/food with you as on board shopping is also pretty hefty and poor quality unless you go Economy Premier or Business Premier. The lounges are nice for the Business Premier but yeah its a bit pricey and not anywhere like an airline lounge still.

You can also get access using a Platinum Amex.
I tend to get there 30-40 mins early keep eye out for the train departed before and go to opposite gate.

I agree it can be very busy in main waiting area and gave up trying Pret for a coffee lucky have just got enough points to stay in top tier for a year from November

Shame it's so much more expensive to get to London than to buy this ticket

Agreed prices here are ridiculous. Although, worth checking coach prices, national express also have a 20% off offer with a code which was shared on here too

This aint nothing new.. if you go on ‘Find lowest fare’ itll show you this. Been tracking a few for a while and haven't budged from the £39 price point.

Good reminder, but wouldnt class this as a deal.. (edited)

Is this the one you’d get to go Disneyland? We are thinking of take out 10 year old next summer holidays, we know it’s going to be very over priced but want to take home while he’s still young enough.

They used to do a direct service to Disneyland, but that's stopped last week until the end of the year (possibly forever, depends on the next review in the new year).

At the moment you have to go to Lille with Eurostar and take another train from there
