Not much cheaper than here. Alcohol still pretty cheap though

You legally bring can bring back as much alcohol and tabacco as you can prove is for your own use.........so with Christmas , coming up............8)

its worth the 20-30 mile drive to Adinkerke in Belgium once you get off the ferry / tunnel. Tobacco is much cheaper in Belgium! Alcohol prices not much different, certainly not worth the trip over just for alcohol, but if going to belgium for tobacco, then its worth getting a few beers on the way back.

See here for Belgium tobacco prices: stopshop.be/e/a…co/

Don't forget to add in the cost of driving to Folkestone and back. Even from London the extra 150 miles could nearly double the cost of the trip.

3200 cigs = 16 cartons and 3kilo of tobbaco = 60pcks but go to belgium its worth the extra half hour drive.but they don.t sell cutters choice in belgium anymore.
hope this helps and happy shopping..lol

Wine can be a lot cheaper, if you are not to bothered about branded stuff. You can buy drinkable 3L boxes for €7 or €8, which would cost you £13 or £14 in the UK.

Is there anything to stop you getting tickets on the Tuesday and Thursday, miss the return on the Tuesday and outgoing on the Thursday (or even give it to someone) so you get a couple days stay and it still only cost you £40?

Tickets are tied to your car registration number, so they'd know what you're trying to do + I think the terms of the ticket are such that you can't do this. However, three day return is often not much more than 2x £20 anyway (usually £50 to £60 in my experience).

Thanks to the truck drivers that were buying pallets of baccy from belguim then bringing it here, British tobacco companies are restricting what they ship to belgium now, so unless you want a european baccy, like Samson or Drum, I wouldn't bother making the trip. Foiund out the hard way 2 weeks ago. As for pre rolled, they are still £3.50-£4.50 a pack, so not really so much of a saving.

Also as a result of there being less baccy, the price of the ones you can get is now near to £5 a pouch. Been told that unless you phone and reserve what english stuff they have left there is no way you will get any.

Limits wise, it is 3kg of tobacco or 3000 pre-rolled PER PERSON, so if there is 4 in the car, you get 4 times the limit regardless of who has it when you get home.

deal is still on
