great Half Term offer to France with the kids,

We have been to Nausicaa and it is fantastic.

Heat added, thanks

Probably a miss print, its a half way journey and then when your stranded with no grub or drink they don't charge you for the nausea.

Due to snow again in Feb so teach your kids how to be patient during half term when you are stranded in tunnel for ...hrs!!

Good deal for Eurotunnel. Voted hot.
Though I might take the P & O for £19 with the free case of wine.
Then again, the likelyhood of a rough crossing at that time of year...........

Good find.

Very Very Bad Customer service with eurotunnel i live in Kent they have very little regard for customer complaints

whats Nausica?

Already booked for the Thursday out 0950 back 1920 so ideal times for us SE Londoners. Plenty of time to drive into Belgium for a decent meal and to stock up with Belgium beer.

As it happens the car shuttle doesn't suffer too many delays - that was Eurostar. Good deal - now to phone the Trappist Abbey to see if I can order some beer.

French for nausea?

Really, I was wondering that too and where is it? Calais/Boulogne or do you have to drive miles?

Nausica is Sea Life Centre, French style, at Boulogne. OK for a couple of hours at most, then off to the hypermarket for beer/wine I guess!

With the poor exchange rate of the Pound against the Euro at the moment it might be more worthwhile waiting for the next £10 a crate of lager deal at Asda or Tesco and stocking up on that instead of at the hypermarket.

Trappist beers excluded of course they'll always be cheaper in Belgium.

only hot if u r near eurotunnel!

i live in yorkshire, if they give me free euro tunnel tickets i wouldnt go!

Do you think it is quicker to ask on here rather than Googling it yourself? :?

They compulsorily purchased my lower field to build their railway too! no amount of emails could stop them!!

Thanks

Thanks OP - booked. Perfect find for a good budget day out I hope.

Worth mentioning that the tickets are not transferable ie if you miss your train you can't get on the next one. Can't moan about that for £15 though.

thanks booked for wed 17th, should we all have a secret handshake or something ? ;-)

Try the Tesco in Cite Europe for wine and spirits. I work in France and their prices are always cheaper than the UK, you can pay in Sterling and you get your clubcard points. I never buy beer there though the deals back home are usually better.

They say the tickets are non transferrable but every time I've been on there and got there early or late they will always transfer you to another train for no extra charge. I use the tunnel about 3 times a week with work and never been charged for getting a different train to the one i'm booked on
