Euthymol was removed because of a new European Cosmetics Regulation.
As stocks run out in chemists and supermarkets, shoppers have gone online to buy the toothpaste – albeit at an inflated price. Tubes are changing hands for as much as £9.99 on eBay, six times higher than the recommended retail price – with packs of six selling for £49.99.

It was removed because the ingredients needed to be "more explained"

It's the same European bs that stopped nitro-mors from working because it actually removed paint and also all the bug sprays from working as they heaven forbid killed bugs and patio cleaner cleared moss and algae.

Been wondering what happened to that toothpaste so was the bloody EU again telling us what we can and can't have.

Glad its back, I managed to get some from Morrisons last week for £1.89 - was on the verge of cutting open an empty tube for the dregs

ahh, ok. This was actually recommended to me by one of my 'extremely white toothed' friend who said it would make my teeth whiter! Thinking about it now, I should have been offended....my teeth aren't yellow and my breath is quite nice (at least nobody's thrown a mint into my mouth mid-speech...yet). I'm gonna buy some more. Thanks.

sweeet. thanks for sharing op. have some heat

So as something in considered not safe, people are rushing out to buy it. Each to the own I guess.

I used to use Euthymol but I'm a big fan of Arm & Hammer these days.

If you look in the ingredients I believe it contains aluminium when I last checked, or at least and oxide of it.

Fluoride free?...No thanks.

picked tube up in asda last week £2

£1.80 in tesco

This rings a bell (about EU regulations) as I've seen talk on perfume forums about scents being taken off the shelves completely or reformulated to only a shadow of their former glory. Apparently.

Tap water contains chlorine actually and I don't know, maybe because fluoride is clinically proven to help prevent tooth decay?

Tap water also contains fluorine. Wish they could add more stuff to tap water to ensure people get enough of it. Shame there's no practical and safe way of providing MMR immunity in tap water but I guess people withholding it is just natural selection anyway.
