Eve Mattress (Rejuvenated) £150 @ Wowcher

This is my first post so apologies if I miss anything out.

Been shopping for a mattress for the last few months and have tried various mattresses including the countless start-up companies that are flooding the market.

I tried an OTTY which was pretty great but didn't think it was worth the asking price.

I went to trial an "Eve mattress" and asked them what they do with their returns from their 100-night trial, apparently, they replace the inner and outer cover (removable) and sell them on Wowcher.

I am not a big fan of Wowcher as they heavily inflate their RRP, but this does seem like an amazing reduction, a Double is normally £599, they are asking for £200. The Wowcher RRP is actually lower than the official website, even when using the current £100 off promo code.

I don't buy into the whole "comfiest mattress in the world" and "one size fits all" claims, but the reviews are pretty great and for the price, it might be worth it for those wanting a new premium mattress. I especially like the removable zipped cover, meaning you can machine wash.

Single: £150 (RRP £399)

Double: £200 (RRP £599)

King: £279 (RRP £679)

Super King: £359 (RRP £799)

Add £19.99 delivery.
All Matresses come with a 10-year Guarantee.

Eve has also done an update on their existing mattress (2016) and have altered based on feedback over the years, I have been informed by customer services that the ones on Wowcher are the most current, up to date version.

EDIT: As Dogeared stated, buying this mattress is no different to sleeping on a hotel bed. At least this mattress is less than 100 days old and has had two cover changes. You can always steam clean it. Much more hygienic than a hotel bed In my books.

memory foam = hot nights( and not in a good way! )
I did see someone complain about the heat from it.

This was my main concern, I'm the guy who sleeps with his windows open all year round, even in winter, I overheat a lot. And I've found with the cheaper or older memory foam I did burn up, but the ones I've tried recently I haven't had an issue with.

My only complaint against them is the lack of springs...it makes certain things difficult in the bedroom.

You could sweat a lot through the removable cover into the foam in one hundred nights

There is another internal cover, they replace...but you're right, although I hope that these would be returns from the winter, so not much sweating... I wonder if you trial one and take it back but make a fuss about the price, that they will let you keep your one for the price of a second hand. less effort and more profit for them.

That's good to know, trying to decide whether to take the plunge, I've liked Otty and Casper but didn't get on with silent night memory foam or Sareer
why would someone reject a new mattress, - surely if theyre that good they wouldn't need to sell them off ?

Because a mattress is a personal preference, A lot of people spend a fortune and time to find the right one. makes sense seeing as you spend most your life on it.

Yeah these have a gel layer, I find it fantastic in cold and warm. Not so sure about a refurb tho!

I'm dithering over whether to try this. I need a new king size mattress. Have only had a brief lie down on several in the local bed shops, some are comfortable but very expensive, other memory foam ones make me feel sucked in and trapped with no bounce.May be worth getting a free trial of the Eve first before making your decision. I'm slightly worried about the number of returns they have available and if I go for this deal I won't have the option to return it if it's unsuitable. I too tend to be hot in bed!oO
Rejuvenated would surely be no worse than sleeping in a hotel bed after hundreds of others. I'm not that squeamish if it saves me £400.There is a £19.99 delivery charge on top of the featured price.
Thanks dogeared I will edit the delivery price In didn't get that far.

Fair point about hotel beds, I don't know why I started to get squeamish, I was in the army and slept in a lot worse places haha. I'm sure I can always steam clean the thing. Least their won't be the bad chemical smell everyone always complains about.

You can also try out the mattress at some Debenhams and Fenwicks (Oxford street, Manchester, Croydon, Gateshead, Plymouth and Newcastle), none near me unfortunately.

Go on, you go first, buy one and tell me what you think.

No shops near me for a trial bounce but thanks for the info. Even though this deal has gone cold I think it's a good moneysaver. I've stayed in a fair few hotels around the world , some dodgy and I've survived all those multiuse mattresses unscathed.

I have ordered it so will let you know, 26 people have voted hot, so hopefully, someone has benefited from it! I've stayed in a Cuban hostel but I get a feeling the Travelodge in Liverpool was probably the worst mattress ive slept on

Thanks. I'm particularly interested in the heat retaining properties of the mattress. (I've stayed in cheap hotels in Paris and India they were nothing to rival the Formule 1 in Calais a few years ago the only place on a European tour where it was necessary to chain the motorbike securely. The mattress was the least of my worries! ) A lot of people are still voting this cold, think they're put off by 'renovated' but as you say, it's a max 100 days old.

Probably more that it's an Eve mattress, the Apple of matresses (overmarketed, overhyped, overpriced) and is just about worth this price new, not second hand.

Maybe, can't be much worse than the old Nokia I'm sleeping on at the moment. X) I'll wait for a review from nickwillis1 and keep researching mattresses.

So what's your take on it?
This offer is still on and the wocher prices are significantly cheaper than ebay.

Anyone got an Eve mattress they are happy with?

I'm looking to buy one for a cold bedroom so would welcome the heat it brings.

A roaring, and overpriced, trade in second hand/returned ones should give a subtle hint at how good they are (or aren't)
