Eve superking mattress £434 @ Dreams

Never been cheaper

Roughly the same price on Amazon BUT unlike Amazon if bought through Dreams the 100 day trial does apply so can be sent back if it's not what you hoped for.

I was undecided between this and the Ikea Hovag but this price point is very competitive (£265 off rrp)...I've never had a memory foam mattress before and was concerned it may be too hot and too soft - The reviews suggest that this isnt the case with the eve so going to give it a go.

Seems like a very good price for one of these designer mattresses although I've never tried an event beyond lying on it in a shop
Would be interested to hear people's opinions regardless of whether voted hot or cold

How does this differ to a Simba Mattress? Which would you recommend?

I have an Eve and don't sweat like a pig. It generally stays cool, the only time I've ever felt it as warm is when I had my heavy 13.5 tog duvet on and it was starting to really get warm. But that wasn't the mattress, that was the duvet. It even manages to cope well when my and my partner sleep together (and he generally gets way too hot in bed).

Do you find it firm/soft/medium? How long have you had it? Would you recommend? Thanks

I've had mine just over a year and half now. I would definitely recommend it, I tend to sleep on my side but do occasionally just sleep on my back. My partner sleeps on his back. It's definitely on the firmer side of things, I'd probably say more a medium firm rather than firm though. It's definitely something I'd say is more of a you need to try and see if it suits you though.

I have taken Dormeo mattress, tested for a year, works well for 2 people, only problem I found is - it is to thin/slippery for most fitted sheets, so some sort of extra layer zipped around mattress to add grip would be beneficial.

Also way cheaper

I've never tried a Hynos so I couldn't comment, but the biggest problem with mattresses is it's entirely subjective. I prefer a firmer mattress and I don't tend to get warm whilst I sleep, but some people are the total opposite of that and want a super soft mattress and they get warm whilst sleeping.
