Even better FREE Super Saver Delivery trick - amazon.co.uk

Further to the deal going around last week to get free super saver delivery by adding a book or CD... just noticed that if you add the cheap book or CD to your order. Place the order, then go back in and cancel the extra item (that you don't really want anyway!) its cancels it and leaves P&P at £0.00.

PERFECT! Beat amazon at their own game,

Erm...one is intending to buy the item regardless. You just get the delivery free now instead of paying for it, hence the 'freebie'

This will get super hot. Well done OP!

Thanks for the heads up

Thanks

Who needs tricks? Just pay for Prime, then you can get free next-day delivery any time you want without jumping through hoops.

Pedantic antic

I would post it as a Deal, because not everyone watching freebies and this is very helpful trick.

well, whatever it is, thank you OP for sharing

Great glitch for now. Hopefully Amazon take their time fixing it.

I agree I use prime loads...really handy for getting stuff next day too! Works out very little if you buy a lot from Amazon..

If you only get stuff every so often then this looks like a nifty trick (until Amazon suss it out !)

great trick, bet it wont last long though

thanks op

Great idea! Shame about the pedants.

So should buy one get one free offers go in Freebees? Because you're getting the second item (in this case the delivery) free instead of paying for it.

That makes about as much sense as asking for free delivery without making a purchase. That would be the only way this could be classed as a 'freebie'.

Thanks (_;)

Still got around 250° at time of posting so people are very grateful ( as am i )

Well spotted!

Good trick. I think amazon will remove the ability to do this before I can take advantage of it tho!

Who needs HUKD? Just buy the item the first place you see it, then you can get it straight away without jumping through hoops.

I'm not following your logic

Just to warn you guys, Looks like this doesn't work in all cases. I tried the same logic by ordering more items to make it over £10 and get the free delivery. I went ahead cancel (it was genuine reason) and it added the delivery charge to me for the remaining item.

So watch out as this could only work for CD's but it will not work if you try cancelling items when you made the total value of the order over £10

I have tried it on a £6 baby item and added a standard CD and it goes back to normal price...

Not the same situation as this, is it? That's a deal as you are getting two for the price of one. This is simply a trick to remove the P&P charge, hence the 'freebie'. Either way, it doesn't appear to work, at least from my side.

Nice one! Been after Legend of Zelda on the wii for a while so might pick that up

EDIT - doh! £29.99, unless I go for the new seller at £16, worth the risk?....

Are people really getting angry about this not being in freebies?

Come on. In instances like this, it warrants being posted as a proper deal (even though it means Amazon will be alerted to it quicker - not sure why it took so long for this trick to be figured out lol). It's the same for all the Tesco Direct 'deals' are being posted with a code - it may be annoying to some, but the main point of this site is to help people, and to save them money (not to moan, or to complain who got the most 'heat' - something we are all guilty of, and could all do with remembering more from time to time), so the Tesco posts are alerting people to deals that they may not have otherwise noticed, like here.

Given that some posts take ages to get hot, and then suddenly rocket to 500 heat, shows that there's a lot fewer people checking 'New' deals, and I'd guess there are even fewer checking 'Freebies' and 'Vouchers' etc. So let's all just get along - hopefully this post will help some people

I only order things from there like once a month or two or even less so not really for me aswell as some other people like me

It's a good trick but you really shouldn't have to do this.

Amazon are just taking the **** these days.

They will fix this quicker than you can say free super saver delivery

Wow you really can't please everyone can you!?!

Here's a tip to maybe save money and people bother to post saying it's not worth the bother (irony?), just pay for Amazon prime for £49 a year (or go to the bother of using the free trial then cancel) urggh more bother.

HUKD and Amazon Prime don't really gel together in my mind. Oh well back to my medication and padded cell.
