Good machine but can be a bit buggy and the iPlayer no longer works (they've stopped doing firmware updates)

AVforums have a good thread on these boxes & there is a wiki with lots of info - sorry can't give you direct links you should find them by using the likes of Google

Having read that extended review on WHF forum I have taken the plunge. Been waiting many months for what seems a decent pvr with twin tuners to come down to an affordable price for me so very pleased this showed up. Thanks for sharing

good price. anyone know what on-demand sites/apps work on this? no bbc eh, bummer.

Excellent box I have the 320GB version Pity iPlayer no longer works but that's not Digitalsreams fault, the box it's self is good.

The only problems I have had is with the box locking up occasionally & requires re-boot (less so with the front panel disabled "dark micom in updates") but never missed a recording.

tempting, but is youview feature not worth the extra £50 , I usually forget to record things, or find out about them after they are aired.

id go the extra £50 but those on a budget this will do a treat

£87.75 now but I would go with Humax - have three and all great

Bargain price for a great PVR, had one for a few years now and so reliable and easy to use, kind of want it to break as an excuse to buy a new gadget but it just keeps on going !
As mentioned by Grumpy1 there is an update that blacks out the buttons on the front (which you never use anyway) and this stop the box locking up if you get that issue.

LOL. This sums up perfectly how I feel towards our's!

I ordered at higher price so ordered another at lower and tried to cancel first but they were so quick to despatch that now I've got 2 of the bleeding things. I'll stick one in FS unless anyone PM's me, £95 to cover postage by courier on top

You should be able to return the more expensive one to Amazon - can use DSR rights at minimum but Amazon probably go further than that. I have certainly returned something I'd bought from them a few months ago - simple process and they even provided a printable return label with postage paid so I'd had free delivery and free return plus full refund of cost - not bad considering it was a £3 HDMI cable and I'd confused mini and micro!

Now £99.90.

What is the dark Micom you mentioned?

Sorry only just seen your post.
Dark Micom is an update that disables the touch panel on the front of the box. I had trouble with the box locking up initially when starting & AV Forums suggested this update provided by the manufacturer. Disabling the touch panel with this update worked for me & as I never used the touch panel it was not a problem. Not everyone experienced this minor problem though.
Hope that answers your question?
