Love this film. Wish there was a director's cut with all the missing footage of the event horizon crew in hell
Love this film! Can’t believe it gets less than 6 on imdb

      Proper scary film
      All time favourite film.heat added
One of my favourite SF/Horror films (along with The Thing, Alien, Sunshine), and cheap as you can't usually find it for less than a tenner on Blu-ray.

But is it definitely region free? Would be worried about receiving a region A copy.

      Looks like Region A.?

      Region free according to Blu-ray.com

The 2017 release is down as untested for regions other than A...that said Paramount release are normally region free.

Yes reading about it. It was much more graphic in some scenes. Unfortunately I think we will never ever see it..
      Imo underrated horror/film..
Also read that Clive Barker was sort of an adviser on set.

      “Liberate tutemet ex inferis!”
Seems to be available on Prime video for £5.99 so might just do that!
Classic film. Plus I would say most random (but awesome at the same time) end credits music
      Pandorum (2009) is better.

Funky sh*t by the Prodigy! Awesome track; amazing film.
      I'm got you baby bear!

      Love this film.
Use a retaining magnetic field to focus a narrow beam of gravitons - these, in turn, fold space-time consistent with Weyl tensor dynamics until the space-time curvature becomes infinitely large, and you produce a singularity.

It's simple when you put it into laymans terms. Great movie.

TV series being made.Heard about it on the Empire podcast.Don’t know if it’s a retelling of the movie or a prequel/sequel
      Proper sci-fi horror. Great flick!

Fair enough, but surely there was no need to poke them out. Maybe hold on to them, just in case?

Amazon to Adapt ‘Event Horizon’ into a TV Series
      August 5, 2019
"Amazon and Paramount Television are teaming up for an adaptation of Paul W.S. Anderson’s 1997 sci-fi horror film Event Horizon. The original focused on the crew of a rescue ship seeking answers to what happened to a ship that had an experimental gravity drive. It turns out that the ship went to a hell dimension and it brought hell back with it."
~ dont know when we get to see it.

the scenes are on youtube somewhere - very few though as footage was destroyed in a fire long ago
Is it proper blu ray or just a dvd in blu ray's skin? Asking for a friend. I love this movie.
Awesome film. The Prodigy did the, soundtrack, some of it at least.

In relation to s directors cut, I read a comment on a YouTube article that someone handed the director a VHS copy of the original film that had the all the lost footage, so all my not be lost that we get a directors cut in the future.

Also if people didn't know this little fact, that they used Adult (p*rn) film actors to do the graphic scenes of the original crew of the Event Horizon.

Checked it out on IMDB, and bought it !

      PS
Not read all the comments, but is this the remastered Event Horizon?
I have both, and the remaster is absolutely unbelievable compared to the original bluray release.

Best I can do is slowed down hell scenes >

      digg.com/vid…own

Anyway the deleted footage adding 35 minutes to the running time is apparently lost forever >

I've seen Event Horizon years ago and to be honest, I don't remember any gore or really anything about the film, my opinion on the film is I guess forgettable as much as the film was to me.

No, it's different film, but similar script.
Don't forget this has been picked up by Amazon to be redone as a series!
      Excellent film
Haven't watched it for years but I loved it at the time.
Also loved the little postcard Orbital sent out promoting their score.
I used to love that, every band mailing list sending out cool postcards and weird things. Christmas cards from Oasis were a particular highlight.

      Bought, cheers OP.
The price is kinda misleading as I'd just bought this and the Wayne's world deal and they added on 20% Vat
This film has been on BBC so many times...and every time I watch it. Every single time.

It's just so good. One of my favourite childhood films.
