Was it something like “where we are going you won’t need eyes. Absolute brilliant film!

Top movie. Dunno if this is the edited version though. What was the quote "you dont want to see. Where i've been" probably got that wrong but remember the scene well.

It's still scary now,
you'll never see Sam Neill in Jurassic Park the same after this.
Was asked at a work event once
"What's your favourite film"
"Event Horizon"
"Why"
"Well if you want a space based sci fi horror starring Lawrence Fishburn and Sam Neil it ticks all the boxes"
"..........."

Thats it, spot on when he's mumbling. Then he translates it to english per above. Glad i'm not the only person that that scene made a lasting impression on

I was fortunate enough to get the original limited collectors edition directors cut in the spaceship shaped box as a chistmas present from my young lad when the film came out on dvd.

"Where we're going, we won't need eyes to see."
i think that was the quote you were referencing . cool film
I can’t believe they cut all the best bits out and left them to rot in Transylvania in a salt mine no less
The film is really great but it could have been legendary. The full extreme uncut was meant to be 130 mins right? That’s 40 mins extra missing footage ontop of this edition. No one apart from the people that made it has seen that version in full.

they are remaking it as a TV series at first I was like barf! But then

then I thought what if it’s good? Let’s be fair TV has improved these days right? and they can stretch the story out a little give us more hell, whilst they may have lost all the violent scenes in the cuts, I’m sure the original writers/directors still have the script & Artwork & I know they have some images and some deleted scenes (I assume some are in this cut) but there is more out there so much more. The full complete directors cut reshot for TV with only the best horror directors & actors.

what if the TV show remakes all the legendary cut footage including the stuff too gruesome for the censors, it could turn out to be the greatest horror tv show of all time.

DVD 😳

I just googled it, apparently they are not retro movie style drink coasters (which I thought they were) but actually have the movie on them. Apparently you have to get off your ass to load the movie into a dvd "player" what ever that is. Next we will be using leeches
