Wouldn't six lenses per box be more practical?

It’s generally one box per eye (so 10 total) but as you can buy one separately it may come in handy for emergencies

Eyebou are doing 20 lenses for £1, I usually use daysoft but I'll try these for a quid, I've gone for the vitamin infused lenses because I love gimmicks.

So are you saying that, if you usually wear specs. not lenses, you have to buy two boxes, one for the left eye and one for the right? But since you only get five pairs you won't even have enough to, see you through the week.

EDIT: Should I have a seperate prescription for contact lenses?

The "truth" doesn't hurt at all.
If you want to mess about cancelling cards after getting a tiny supply of "free" contact lenses, be my guest.

I'll continue to buy great value (and trusted) lenses that I can rely on.

Does anyone *need* contact lenses? I consider them a luxury for occasional wear.

If somebody ‘ doesn’t have a pot to pee in ‘ it doesn’t seem sensible to spend it on contact lenses?

I guess if there’s a medical need they would be provided on prescription.

Try and think what its like to have no money, a mortgage that is rooking you where even a few pence means a lot then you might understand the plight of poor folks!

Some poor folks would go to these lengths and more its clear you have never been in the dog doo old mike!
I would have thought with age comes a feeling for the plight of others less fortunate than oneself but apparently not = no wonder the world is in the situation its in when no one really gives a toss about those who dont have a pot to p in!

You also seen to be missing the point - the point is not about contact lenses it is about why people are on here and at the moment trying to get things free or as cheap as chips - try and not skim but read and digest and process semantics not syntax dude!

Wow you’ve got a house? Nice!

Spent 16 years in the kind of poverty you describe, was more concerned about paying the rent eating and staying warm than appearance.

You seem to make a lot of assumptions here.
I'm not going to argue, as I've seen you unfairly berate another member for disagreeing with you. Not cool.

Not unfair in the least he has clearly not read the comment and just opened his gob and spouted nonsense!
More to life than being "cool" dude that went out in the sixties i prefer brutal honesty, common decency, thought for others and intelligence!

For all those that are skint here is an even better deal totally FREE 5 pairs of contacts hopefully available soon when the shops are allowed to open again!

Have to say these are really good lenses as was recommended by someone in work to try them so done the trial pack first before getting a months supply.

i used to use daysoft lenses but found they they dried up in my eyes quite quickly as I wouldn’t get a full days use out of them before I felt like I needed to take them out and also with the daysoft lenses I would always get ripped lenses in the pack but they were good and they would replace them if this happened

The everclear ADM lenses are more expensive than the daysoft but for me they are more comfortable and last longer in my eyes during the day without the feeling that I need to take them out.

Specsavers also have me trials on some of their premium lenses which were good and would have purchased however they were around £31 a month compared to I think around £18 a month for everclear as I haven’t purchased any for a few months but there wasn’t much difference in quality to justify the extra spend well for my eyes anyway as I get on well with the everclear
Like @NFS I moved into these from daysoft and much prefer them. For the last year or so I've used these and I think recently they've changed the thickness of the lens and they are even more comfortable. I'd always check with an eye care professional first but I'm very happy.
Can anyone recommend a company that does Toric lenses cheaper than the Specsavers etc.
Don’t forget 8% Quidco !!
I tried them, they are okay but not so great quality. Much thicker, very uncomfortable, itching all day!

1 box left, 1 box right. Usually people have slightly different vision in each eye, so slightly different strength contacts for each.

And yes you need a contact lense prescription. Normally free with a free trial I think at Specsavers. I think the company are supposed to check your prescription is up to date (within 2 years) but don't think they do.

If you are a member of Costco, they do deals on contact lenses now and again. I buy mine - Johnson and Johnson daily contact lenses for astigmatism - when they do the buy 3 months get a month free deal (£107). They do deals on other contact lenses too.
