How many shirts could you hang off this?

Which ones better this or the Reebok one posted earlier?, for my 16 year old son

Everlast are poor quality since the brand was bought by Sportsdirect....may be these were made pre takeover of the brand but I'd steer clear as the brand currently has zero credibility

That's too much bother for them not to do anything in the end.

Even after that you still have strong rights for six years ! but from then on you must prove the goods WERE faulty when you bought them. So at the very worst, if you buy, take it home and it doesn't work, take it back and you are entitled to a full repair, replacement or at least a percentage towards the cost of a replacement When you buy anything, you will be protected by the Consumer Rights Act 2015. It says goods should be of satisfactory quality, fit to do the job intended and last a reasonable length of time

Sounds good but you're wrong - don't feel bad though it's a common mistake.

There is a way of being wrong which is also sometimes necessarily right !

I must point out that your wife is always right and if this either (a) gets in the way. (b) does not turn you into Brad Pitt, or (c) fails to dry the school uniforms in time. The you are as always in the wrong.

i'd go with Reebok personally

Take a hike

13kph top speed isn't great, as I suspect most users will have it set between 10-12 kph for a decent jog pace, and that's means running this at near maximum - might result in breakdowns quicker / might not. However for £199 it's getting a hot vote from me

Lol,so true!

13kmh! That's a joke.

Anyway, running outside is more fun and will toughen you up in this weather :-)

It isn't a joke, unless you are training for the Olympics this will be fine. Mine only does 12kph and that's enough to get a good sweat on

And you have knackered knees later in mid life. Running on the road/pavement about the worst thing you can do for your joints.

No pot holes on a treadmill

Do these treadmills fold so you can stand them up for storage?

How slow can they go, can you use them for walking?

Cold, you could have just added it to the other treadmill deal listed @ argos. You know you dont get paid for getting a little bit of heat.

my everlast treadmill starts at 0.8 kmph, i would say normal walking is around 4.5-5 kmph

Hot deal, i bought an Everlast treadmill from argos clearance for 120 around 3 years ago and its still going strong, using it daily at the moment
oh and a steady jog for me is 8.5 so the fact this only goes to 12km shouldnt bother the average person imo

Back too. People under estimate the damage this does overtime. Obviously if your just going for the occasional short run , then that doesn't really apply

I was almost almost ready to buy this treadmill, until I read your comment. No potholes is a deal breaker for me.

Have some heat op. (_;)

1.5hp peak motor size is pretty poor

12km top speed us poor. Anyone who regularly runs will find this too slow. ok for those who want to do get the initial ' couch to 5k' done without running in public.

Finally! Somewhere for kids to ride a hoverboard on. Heat

The motor on the Reebok one is twice as powerful, that means it should be working half as hard for your workout. Looks like this will be running near full capacity for many people so unlikely to last as long before breaking.

Odd sweeping comment...... I run regularly but don't find 12km/h too slow.
I think what you mean to say is, anyone who wants or needs to run faster than 12km/h will find this too slow and not a suitable product. For others, the speed capabilities of this product will be fine.

12km/h for an hours run would be fast enough for the majority of people wishing to spend £200 on a treadmill. If you were looking to incorporate interval sprints or run shorter and faster workouts then this won't be for you.
I spent £1k on a treadmill (Nordic track) 20 years ago and it did just become a clothes hanger, but that was before the digital entertainment revolution, so If you have the self motivation to keep going for 30 minutes plus then treadmill might be for you.
Everlasting, like many SD takeovers were a well known brand who will now just be a name stamped on generic product. But then again even "big" brands like Reebok are hardly engineering experts and no doubt there will be a factory in China making these and stamping whichever name is required on them.

For every study that says road running is bad for the knees you'll find at least one that says the contrary.

Correct if all you do for exercise is run, but if that is all you do then you need to rethink your workouts.

Exactly, treadmills have very little cushioning so the best thing to do is invest in your trainers.

Also bear in mind that running on a treadmill is not the same movement as natural running. It's also a very constant movement which running outdoors isn't.
