The only thing I found with this game is that it's a slow burner for progression, almost like Dark Souls in space in the sense that it's hard in places but you get a little bit further each time. Get the version with the expansion as it overhauls the main game with loads to do. Great game and great price
great game. worth grabbing the expansion. adds a lot of content.

There's no PSVR support for this game
This is a lot more accessible than Elite Dangerous... some do complain about the controls though - I recommend type C layout

very nice graphics and they change as you progress through the sectors. i prefered the 1080p mode over 4k as its got more effects and the tv upscales anyway. so overall it seemed to look better and had a more stable framerate.

Really? Just because last night I seen on the psvr demo collection 2 or 3 it was on it. But I didn't go on it.

You're thinking of Eve Valkyrie (also on sale atm)...
Valkyrie has online multiplayer and VR support but lacks motivation for me - the single-player push on Everspace had me playing for longer.

Yeah going to give the singleplayer a go. I was waiting for ace combat to drop to a scrooge price to buy that because I imagined it to be like a more streamlined elite in some way, but I guess this is even better for that reason. I'll end up throwing up with the vr anyway lol.

Ace combat is nothing like elite
Missed this the last time it was on sale

I know it's not. But it was all I could really think of that had the dog fights but in set levels without the expanse of the universe to explore and do a 1000 other things in. Obviously ace combat is more arcadey and has the whole earth's gravity thing.
Does it have version for PC?

This sounds like exactly the sort of game you're looking for

Never heard of it but for that price and the fact Buba has never steered me wrong I've bought it 😁
If you have an Xbox this is on Game Pass

A fact I discovered after buying it...
I don't regret the money going back to this developer though - great game!
the game pass version is the basic version. its £7 for the dlc. so cheaper on the ps4.. i actually bought it on ps4 not long after it came out. i tend to use the xbox more now due to game pass so rebought the DLC for the xbox.

Definitely. It is hard going at the beginning before you level up.
I recommend levelling up pilot skills before ship perks although you might want the odd ship perk unlocked & investing in "More money/salvage" (whatever the perk is called).

Everspace 2 is on the way but will be some time off (2021)

Fab game. Voted hot.

kinda depends on your playstyle. i didnt really touch the pilot skills much this time around. i pumped up all the equipment slots, energy and core slots first. was only the increased money drop from the pilot skills i did early on.... dont really need anything from the damage and repair row with the nano bots or G&B reputation. just dont agro G&B and theyll leave you alone. lol. ive completed my first run to sector 7 on the xbox and still have half of the pilot skills untouched. this is one of the very few games that ive played twice. thats a great honour!

Agreed, which is a shame because Eve Valkyrie looks lovely, is a joy to play in VR and also a lot of fun...

But the bear bones "campaign" should have been fleshed out to a full single player mode, or even better, add a co op mode to play with friends! If there was a proper campaign this game would have been excellent.

Unfortunately you're forced into PvP battles, which, while still very good in what they do, just don't tickle my pickle as much as PvP used to (I much prefer a good single player / co op game these days).

That said, it's still a great game, and piloting the Valkyrie is an amazing experience in VR (I'd say up there with the best tbh), but it just didn't keep me coming back, especially when you're going up against people who play all the time. Altho it's worth mentioning that Eve Valkyrie does support Cross Platform play, and also Cross VR / flat play now too.
Everspace is definitely worth picking up for this price. It's a little hard going at first, being a rogue like space shooter, but you'll get a little further each time as you upgrade... And can even loot your old wreckage if you can reach it.

Everspace 2 is currently in development, but this time they've decided to go open world! I can't wait!
