From the "Chase Spring" in Staffs

Funnily enough Lidl "source" their Saskia "Elmhurst Spring" Water from the same borehole beneath a WW2 Airfield in Staffordshire (WS13 8EL) but charge a rip off £0.45 per 2 litre or 6 for £1.99.

Same price at Asda and Tesco, Morrsions is 18p

Still or spring as theres a difference?

This is a good deal. Don't know about Tesco and Morrison's, but Asda's is not spring water but filtered tap water.

What's wrong with tap water?
Maybe I don't understand the difference but a spring is a place where the water table is at ground level, so it comes out of the ground.
If the water table is below ground level then holes have to be drilled down to get it.

Tap water taste funny oO the limescale in my kettle puts me off

Regional variation accounts for a lot in terms of taste, but it's the aluminium, flouride and all the rest that the water companies put in that'll start you reading into government conspiracy theories!

Nothing if you can put up with the taste.

Do Dioxins taste? Apparently they leech out of the plastic bottles bottled water is stored in after a time. Tasteless or not.

According to Cancer Research UK that was a hoax making it's rounds.

Anyway, back to the subject in hand - This is a hot deal for those who purchase bottled water

Thanks I've never read any emails on the subject but yes it does appear to have been a hoax.

I have always advocated the use of tap water but recently I have become aware of the horrible taste of chlorine in the tap water supplied by Severn Trent. It is vile and undrinkable.
